The only thing this had going for it was a couple of good kills. And one which made me crack up laughing, literally. The fire hose .....
That's pretty much the only thing the entire series has going for it  That's the only reason I keep coming back anyways.
I finally got around to watching the blu-ray last night. This was easily the worst of the series, but I've enjoyed all the films to some extent and this was no exception. It didn't really feel like a Wrong Turn film at all, and I didn't care for what they did with the mutant's backstory / family / cults, etc. Just unleash some bloodthirsty mutants upon some unsuspecting horny teenagers, don't stray too far from the formula. The slasher stuff was pretty much only reserved for a 10 minute chunk near the end of the movie, which wasn't enough in my opinion. Regardless, it was harmless trashy fun. Hopefully 7 returns the series back to form, but if it doesn't... hell, I'll still keep watching 'em anyway.
It seemed like the kills needed spread out, seems rush because most of cast dies in a short span of time. First nude scene was nice but others were fleeting at best, so I would say it was predominately a T&A-slasher. I would give it a 4/10. It is entertaining to a degree but I'd never watch it again or add it for more than a buck to my archive.
I enjoyed it for the most part. It did get quite stupid towards the end...and really you could basically see the end coming from a mile away. I did love the overall setting of the film though, and it had some good inventive kills. It's funny how in the "making of" Featurette, almost all of the actors have European accents in real life. They did a solid job though, because I never suspected they weren't either American or Canadian while watching the film. If you enjoyed the previous films...it's at least worth a rental.
I caught accents a few times here, especially early on when they're driving there. I thought they did a much better job with the accents in 3 and 5, which were also shot in Bulgaria. I also recall catching the Canadian accents in 4 ("Let's check it ooot"). The director in the "making of" sounded like he could barely speak English.
I finished watching it (thankfully downloaded for free in a torrent) and I just can't understand this level of crappiness. It's just too much!
Amazon doesn't have this on Blu-ray for some reason (unless I'm losing my eyesight). Had a copy in hand at Best Buy last night ready to make a blind buy but thankfully I stormed off the line and walked off empty handed before I could make the purchase. I was reminded why I don't shop at B&Ms anymore - 2 clerks and 2 customers taking up a lot of time. One guy was buying up a bunch of PS4s and paying cash and another woman was paying by check. WTF? Anyway, glad to know the movie is crap. Would've been really pissed if I threw away $20
The film isn't crap. WRONG TURN 6 delivers on exactly what fans of the series should expect at this point. It is true that many of the kills are saved for late, but that didn't bother me. I was fully invested in the story, scenery and characters so I never felt compelled to reach for FFW on the remote. The kills were good enough that they were worth the wait and the T&A is off the charts. !!MINOR SPOILER but not really!!! The deer hunting scene was well done but I just wish it would have been referenced or had some barring on the finale.
Yeah, I don't see the Blu either. Dvd also not there. And its not at Best Buy online either. That copy you had was probably the last one.
Weird. You can get it at FoxConnect, but looks like they jacked the price up from when I ordered mine.
Getting increasingly scarce in my area as well. My buddy just texted and got us each a Blu-Ray copy at Best Buy. $19.99 Canadian each, not bad. He had to go to the downtown core though, nothing left in the stores around where I live. I'd love to know the full story behind this.
Very interesting. I'm surprised it slipped by the legal department and made it into the film. Things like that are what cause these types of lawsuits.
I'm sure they are already working on digitally changing the picture image and then will be back on shelves
