The Slime DVD's I first mentioned turned out to be copies of the pan-and-scan VHS, nothing legit back then (except the widescreen Japanese language release that has a review at DVDTalk).

    I watched this one tonight:

This film is an absolute grade C riot, imo. I watched it tonight with my wife, who seemed to think it was disapointing. However, sci-fi doesn't get much dafter than this.

Not sure if there's a DVD out, I caught it on TV. The monsters are nice though. Check it out. My full review, with screenshots, can be found at this place here.

Green Slime is one of my favorites. I even have ones sheets, pressbooks, lobby cards, etc. If it were to come out it would definetly be MGM. Those bootlegger clowns are getting shiftier with their "foreign Asian DVDs" and "THEY actually own the rights to every movie they sell" bunch of nonsense. Alot of this stuff will be coming soon in the next couple years but I am also eager for this and many more to make their debut. Guess we have to be patient.

The Green Slime seems to currently be in the Warner Bros. library. There is a Japanese DVD that is supposed to be nice, but also missing footage and with no English language soundtrack.

One of my favorites as well. Snow Devils is another great one, even cheesier than Green Slime and there's a babe in tight shiny pants to boot.

It doesn't seem like 6 and a half years since I started this thread but check the first post for the release info.

I remember seeing this once on late night TV. I had read about the film and saw a lot of movie photos, but when I finally got a chance to see it, I laughed my ass off. The Green Slime if fucking hilarious. This one I would pay to own, even if it is direct from WB. An actual nationwide release would be nice, however.

I watched the Green Slime for the first time in nearly 40 years. The blu-ray was very good quality especially considering the film is from 1968. The miniatures are painfully obvious and are used quite liberally but this was part of the film's charm. They built a ton of sets and models. I won't say the film is good but I really enjoyed it. The theme song is catchy and I've always had a fondness for films with their own song. It's an entertaining way to spend 90 minutes. The blu-ray is also reasonably priced.

I only seen this as a kid on TV one time. Haven't revisited since. Don't remember much. One thing I will say, if I heard the Green Slime creatures sound again(in any form), I would point it out in a heartbeat. :)

The creatures certainly made a lot of noise every time they were on screen. I'm not sure why they chose that sound effect as it wasn't scary. Still I was glad to see the film again after so many years. Quite nostalgic.
