I have an original rolled up mint condition Return of the Living Dead part 2 poster, original My Science Project poster ( YES im one of the few that actually likes that 80's movie. Also an original Monster Squad poster and an original Night of the Creeps poster.
I just picked up a JD's Revenge at Monster Mania this past weekend. That's about my only recent new one.

I haven't collected for many years, ( too expensive now) but I know I have these originals- Friday the 13th Gates of Hell Zombie House By The Cemetery Times Square City of the Walking Dead Last House On The Left Don't Look In The Basement Madman (1981) Hands of the Ripper (Hammer 1972) The Burning The Fog (two different styles- 1980) The Hills Have Eyes (1977) The Boogens New Year's Evil Legend of Boggy Creek Mark of the Devil Mark of the Devil II Devil's Nightmare Screams Of A Winter Night Creature From Black Lake The Legend of Bigfoot The Mysterious Monsters. I bought most of my posters for only 3 or 4 bucks each from some catalog in the 80s when I was a kid. I also have a bunch of lobby cards, pressbooks, and movie tie-in novels I haven't looked at for years.
So I went a little crazy this week on eBay and picked up a bunch of originals. So far I have bought... Friday the 13th 3-D Friday the 13th Part 8 (Pre-Release, Recalled) Friday the 13th Part 8 Halloween 3 My Bloody Valentine April Fool's Day Terror Train Amityville 2 Amityville 3-D Jaws 3-D The Changeling Town That Dreaded Sundown The Hitcher Troll Tales From the Darkside The Blob (Remake) The Fly (Remake) The Lost Boys Poltergeist 2 Gremlins Willow Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade Swingers These are the ones I had before. They are all reprints though. Army of Darkness Halloween Friday the 13th Jaws Mallrats Raiders of the Lost Ark Star Wars Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back Star Wars: Return of the Jedi Pulp Fiction High Fidelity Goonies I have a few other reprints, but they are in my basement and I forget what they are. Probably nothing special though.
Thanks. I usually go all out the first week or two when I first get into something, and then slow down. I'm looking at a couple more, but then I think I will chill out, and wait until I can afford the big boys like Halloween, Friday the 13th, or original Star Was posters. It seems like those pretty much start at $100, although I think I saw a Friday the 13th go for $60 the other day. Oh, and I want a Monster Squad original as well!
Reprints: Texas Chainsaw Massacre Zombie Witchcraft 70 Originals: Hills Have Eyes (Aussie Daybill) Tourist Trap (Aussie Daybill) Night of the Creeps (Aussie Daybill) My girl does professional framing so they all have totally awesome frames too. Zombie is in a bleached wormwood frame, TCM is in a distressed "barn-type" wood frame, etc.
Got a pretty cool original last week: Fall Break This is what The Mutilator was originally called before it's release (as if some of you didn't already know that). A very limited amount of these were printed. Pretty much straight from Buddy Cooper himself and for free
Me, too. I love it. I bought a MAUSOLEUM one sheet on Ebay back in '98 (along with NIGHTMARE since my previous one was tattered and separating at the folds) and was shocked when they arrived in mint, condition. The same seller sold me a THE THING ('82) one sheet and THE FOG (Jamie Lee art) for only $10 each and they, too, were in mint condition. *sigh* I wonder if you can still buy those posters for such a cheap price today? I remember seeing the "green lettering" DAWN OF THE DEAD sell for $80 back in '99. Those days are over, I know
So, I have the Deep Red Slovenian poster. It's like the one below but in shitty condition. This is pretty much my first poster, so my question to you folks is what is the best way of preserving it? It's already kind of beaten. Cheap Ikea frames - mounting? I think it's a 18" X 26" ...which is kind of a weird size.
