So I've pretty much been out of the loop when it comes to DVD collecting and the horror genre for the past year or so (had a lot of crazy stuff happen that put my hobbies on hold). So what I want to know is, what are your "must have" titles on either DVD or Blu-Ray within the past year or so? I trust the opinion of you folks and I need to stock up!

My list (all on Blu-ray): Alien Anthology, Taxi Driver, Apocalypse Now (Full Disclosure), Night of the Living Dead (Happinet or Forgotten Films), The Twilight Zone series, Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas (Criterion) and The Evil Dead.

I've said this probably one hundred times on this forum before, but I'll say it again. :) The best two DVD's in my collection are Never Sleep Again and Autopsy of the Dead. You can't get any better for documentaries of the Elm Street series or Night of the Living Dead. If the people involved with either project were to do a documentary on Dawn of the Dead, I would be in heaven.

I can vouch for Never Sleep Again, I just watched it and was blown away by how comprehensive and exhaustive it was. I thought The Psycho Legacy was also good, while His Name Was Jason was pretty much a crap fluff piece but Never Sleep Again stands as an example of how these docs should be done.

Thanks Paramount for that. (they're so helpful when it comes to the Friday series).

Slumber Party Massacre Collection is my #1 pick.

I also loved the Madman re-release. I guess there is a lot of controversy over the picture quality, but the bonus featurette is worth the price alone.

Another recommendation (which is also available on blu-ray!) would be Rock 'n' Roll High School. Not horror, but a must-own for cult movie fans.

I also loved the Women In Prison triple feature that was recently released. Three sleazy gems for the price of one, hard to complain there!
