If you want Last House on Dead End Street in HD then just get their release of Corruption, it’s included as a hidden extra. I’m sure it will look even better when the special edition comes out but since I have this I kind of don’t care too much how long it takes; usually this type of thing annoys me (label announces a release and years later it's still not out), but not this time.

Yeah I recall they put it on a porno by the same film maker as an extra. Hopefully LHODES will see the day of light someday eventually.

Thanks for the info, I did not know about this release or that LHODES was an extra, I've never seen LHODES but have always been interested, I've just ordered the blu ray. I expect a tough watch, but if I hate both movies, I don't foresee a problem selling this on!

It's not advertised as being included and it's hidden in the menu, to access it:

Had to look that up for a friend who recently picked this up after I told them LHODES was on it as well. I never even knew it was hidden until they were saying they couldn't find an option to play it because I watch everything on the HTPC and just navigate by playlist instead of menus.

Their transfers are impeccable, the films themselves? Dubious at best... for a long while.

Wow, another pass for me for this last batch. Maybe .... just maybe Dear Dead Delilah. But I'm talking on the next sale event or even the next after that. No way I'm paying $25 for that film, not anywhere close to that.

This is why the year package is always a no go. I rather pick and chose. Not blaming Vinegar Syndrome, they are an excellent company with incredible transfers, great track record. However their releases in recent months, I'm not connecting with.

Yeah, Shot is a no-budget blast! I have it on VHS under the title Death Shot, and just realized it's the same flick after watching the VS promo trailer.

To each his own, but it looks like a fun lineup of '70s exploitation to me. Especially Dear Dead Delilah as a fan of regional horror.

Also, the July packages just shipped.

I love 70's exploitation, but that doesn't mean I love every 70's exploitation movie. I like gritty, I like sleazy, I like scary, but I'm not really into goofy. I've been trying to justify to myself why I like, say, The Mad Doctor of Blood Island, but don't really care for Raw Force. You could make a case that objectively, neither is a good movie, but while both feature nudity, gore, and low-budget creature effects, they are tonally different. The point is, Wonder Women seems to come from the same school of goofiness as Raw Force.

I generally like proto-slashers A LOT - like Alice, Sweet Alice, Savage Weekend, and Silent Night, Bloody Night - and I might eventually get Dear Dead Delilah, but it's not a priority for me.

I am looking forward to the October announcements, though. Would it be too optimistic to hope for The Last House on Dead End Street? :p

I originally thought Wonder Women was a movie I'd seen recently and enjoyed thoroughly, but it turns out I was thinking of Policewomen. Also 70s exploitation sleaze.

Thank goodness for VS releasing obscure gems like Dear Dead Delilah on Blu-ray. So many fantastic films languishing in VHS hell, and this is one of the best of it's kind. Too many re-release happy labels out there.

Dear Dead Delilah looks like it has some elements I like, but the whole "greedy relatives squabbling over the inheritance" isn't my cup of tea. Murder for financial gain can make just about any horror movie feel like an episode of Midsomer Murders. I'm not really sold on it and am perfectly fine waiting for the reviews.

I've said it before, I appreciate Vinegar Syndrome's mission AND the technical quality of their presentations. And they have released a few titles I consider favourites, like Psychic Killer, Madman, Graduation Day, and Don't Answer the Phone! I even think Punk Vacation is a hoot. But the last year, none of their titles have made me go "I really need that."

On the other hand, Code Red has been pumping out titles I really enjoy, like Monster Shark, Erotic Nights of the Living Dead, Love Me Deadly, The Sadist, Slithis, The Being, The Dark, Sole Survivor, and Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker, and that's just in the last 12 months. Now, many of those titles would have fit right in in the VS catalogue. Companies like Severin, Code Red, and Vinegar Syndrome very much overlap in terms of the kind of movies they release, and they largely share the same consumer base. I'm not more loyal to one company than the other. The company that puts out the best release of the movie I want is the one that gets my money. True, Severin often has compression issues, and Bill seems to license Italian scans for his Italian titles. Neither situation is ideal.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about the titles VS is releasing, I'm just more anxious to see the titles they aren't releasing, if that makes sense. ;)
