Vinegar Syndrome - New Genre Label

I agree on all points. VS is a fantastic label. I also highly respect that, for those with the yearly packages, if they end up releasing fewer titles than anticipated a refund is issued, and if they release more titles...hooray for the buyer! So, I am especially excited for the two surprise titles.

 

Lately every time I post I like a film Zombie Dude sneaks in like a ninja and says the film sucks

I received the April package on Saturday. I've only started on Psycho Cop Returns. Looks fantastic so far, and is a lot of fun. I appreciate that it's played broadly, but not so much that it becomes grating or condescending.

I will get to Double Exposure later in the week.

Now, let's hear about those two mystery titles for May, Vinegar Syndrome!

 

I wasn't into Psycho Cop returns. At all. it was mostly bad 90s T&A, bad, unfunny jokes and a tiny bit of gore.

But... it was nice to see Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration, killing people.

 

Hmm, seems I should definitely re-watch this before committing to a purchase. I enjoyed the film when I was a teen but I had a feeling it might not hold up like I remembered. Plus coming off the first film I still think it was a hell of a lot better than that.

 

See, this was a blind buy for me. I tend to forgive movies I saw through the lens of youth. But this was just lots of bad 90 boobjobs. Love Vinegar Syndrome, but I was bored.

Here's a question. How does everyone feel about VS LTD slip covers? Do you think it's worth the price to own one of 1000 printed. Just asking because the regular versions are much cheaper at places like Amazon. I'm not bashing VS at all, just wanted to see how people feel about paying the premium price for those covers. So far I've been buying them at the VS site. Just second guessing if they are worth the extra money.

 

I liked it, but wasn't thrilled. Even for a 90's cheapie, it was lacking. I thought I was going to be into with the broad performances and gory interior of Officer Vickers' vehicle, but the move sorta flatlines after that and never really comes together.
