The American poster sucks hard for The Wraith. It looks like the Goonies or something.

I don't see a date yet, but there's a pre-order up for Sundown: The Vampire In Retreat from LionsGate / Vestron.

I really like that movie. Anthony Hickox was on a roll early in his career, but hit a wall in the mid-90s.

Screencap comparisons for The Wraith: https://caps-a-holic.com/c_list.php?c=6132

I received mine earlier today from Bull Moose. As expected, it's basically just the same old transfer used on the foreign Blu-ray releases.

The NSM German Blu-ray actually looks a bit sharper, but I'm not sure if that's due to EE sharpening or what. I have the "Lenticular" Steelcase of that one (which looks pretty damn cool) so I might hang onto it.

    Picked up The Wraith today.

Surprisingly, WalMart has it in store for $12.96.

Yeah seen it today when I got jakobs wife DVD and spiral and initiation blurays. They have carried the last few vestron titles on release day maximum overdrive, shivers, and little monsters. I would think they should have sundown vampire in retreat bluray Aug 17 as well I hope.

Glad to see Vestron isn't dead yet but it looks like they're sticking to mainstream stuff so I'm out. I think I got pretty much all I wanted out of the line. It was cool to see the company resurrected and the revamped logo was awesome.

I wish they put more effort in these releases, by making new transfers.
Wraith is still using the old HDTV transfer.

The only Vestron release that I got, was Chopping Mall.
Most of the rest, got inferior transfers, compared to the ones released over here in Europe.

I have to say the 'Chopping Mall' print is fantastic, but I agree with you on others, I currently have the wishmaster vestron release and that is lackluster.

I had waxwork but sold it for the German release which I personally believe is much better.

Was there ever a release of D13 with good audio? Hope Vestron is careful with this one.

D13 feels like it came out of nowhere but apparently Coppola had some screenings of a restoration he did from elements MGM had so this is very exciting. Can't wait to pick it up. The Film Detective Blu-ray was comparatively decent but this should blow that outta the water if Lionsgate is bothering with it at all.

I picked up Shivers in June from Amazon when it previously droped and it still had a slipcover so the odds seem good they still have 'em slipped.

I'll be glad to get Dementia 13 on blu. Never picked up the previous editions so hopefully with Coppola's involvement this will be a definitive edition.

This should be a huge upgrade in PQ/AQ, but unless Amazon's listing is inaccurate (very possible) it appears the "Director's Cut" is cutting roughly 6 minutes of footage away from the film. I'm curious to see what else will be included, particularly if there will be an alternate presentation of the film that preserves the cut most of us are familiar with.
