I'm really excited about this news. I'm a huge fan of the first two films in the series and glad to see Bloody-Disgusting is reviving it with a lot of the original team. Count me in!

I enjoyed the first two, but I can’t even remember if I saw the 3:rd movie, or if it was so bad that I forgot about that one o_O

I didn't like the first one at all. I felt that it was extremely crude and in bad taste. I still haven't checked out the sequels.

Perhaps I'll get around to the sequels since I liked You're Next so much. Still I remember reading the wiki on VHS 2 and not being impressed. No reason to revisit the original VHS.

Hopefully the others will go on demand around then so I can catch up on the whole series.

Got around to watching this. It was surprisingly good. There's no great barnburner segments like "Amateur Night" or "Safe Haven" but it is the first film that doesn't have any bum episodes. All 4 main stories are pretty good to pretty decent. It's definitely the most consistently entertaining film in the series. The wraparound, as per tradition, is a dumb and needless time waster (I don't count those as proper episodes). VHS 94 is miles better than Viral (which almost killed the series).

Watched this tonight and enjoyed the first two stories and that's it. The ratman one was easily my favourite and actually pretty creepy.
The robot one is where it nosedived for me. The segment was too long and just a gore extravaganza with a weak story and no real creepiness too it. Don't get me wrong, the effects were impressive, but I'm not into gore just for the sake of it.
By the time the last story came along I was checked out.
The wraparound was super unsatisfying too.

I definitely watch the ratman story again though. Good stuff.

V/H/S/94 is the only one I actually like. I'll never own it, but I would recommend it.

94 is my favourite of the franchise, and the only entry where I enjoyed every story, even the wraparound. Also highly recommend it.

    I'd rank them:

    V/H/S/94
    V/H/S/2
    V/H/S
    V/H/S Viral
