    The UFO Incident (1975)

The Barney and Betty Hill encounter (if you believe their story) pretty much set the standard in mass media for the concept of the greys.

The Communion image is no more than a superficial alteration. Anyone claiming to have invented the standard at that time frame is not just 20 years too late, they're full of cow by-product.

I've seen that before too, but it was almost laughable in appearance and hardly very sinister looking in appearance, almost more human than alien.

The actual TV movie isn't too bad really, but I always thought it could have been so much better as far as the alien representation in it. In motion it looked even worse:

It's coming out on Blu-ray soon too, so I can only imagine how it appears in full HD.

Betty & Barney's actual descriptions that were made into drawings and busts looked far creepier:

Wow, that's surprising! That's a prestige MGM title, hardly something I picture them licensing to another distributor. Especially the first release on a new format.

    Lots of surprises with UHD...

MGM don't seem to release very much themselves anymore as far as physical releases of their back catalog. I would have expected it to be released by Kino, since they've gotten some more popular titles like The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and a few others... but I guess since Shout already re-released Fargo back in 2017/2018 perhaps they still held the license longer.

The Big Bust Out must be terrible. I see it for sale on Facebook groups constantly. People couldn't even wait for it to sell out before trying to get rid of it

I had thought their web exclusives were typically half-assed affairs, so I was pleasantly surprised that Meatcleaver Massacre looked so good. The transfer quality was up to snuff with Vinegar Syndrome. Then again, the trailer on the disc is out-of-sync, so there's that.

Yes, it's not very good. I'm rather surprised it's almost sold out... even if it was just 1,000 copies.

There's a FAB-ulous sale of Gerry Anderson titles on the Shout! website in honor of Gerry Anderson Day. A lot of his shows are classic fun and I recommend checking them out:
    https://www.shoutfactory.com/sale/gerry-anderson-sale?

They're also releasing Space Precint The Complete Series on DVD exclusively through their website and Hamilton Books (release however is limited to 1,500 copies so get your copy while you can):
    https://www.shoutfactory.com/product/space-precinct-the-complete-series?product_id=7828

    "Bonus Features
    • The Making Of Space Precinct
    • Space Police – The Original, Unused Pilot Episode
    • Space Precinct Creature Tests
    • Raw Dailies Footage
    • Promos"

    Night Creatures review: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Night-Creatures-Blu-ray/309657/#Review

Definitely looks a lot better than the Indicator release. Mine shipped yesterday from Bull Moose. Got a pre-order in early when the price was still $25.97 there.

Now, if Shout would only fix that ratio screw-up on Paranoiac... which I guess they aren't. Kind of shitty when they'll fix other things for a missing frame or two right away, but when they screw up the geometry of an entire transfer, nothing is done.

Was not aware there was an original Dr. Strange. Considered it for Anne-Marie Martin and Jessica Walters, but decided to pass. Only ordered Watchers II and Cockfighter.

It's TV pilot. Not very good, but that's par for the course for all live action Marvel shows of the 70s. The Incredible Hulk is by far the best of the lot.

I'd still rather watch those than most of the Marvel crap being released now.

Looks like they already sold out of the 1,500, but requested another 500 to be pressed:

Closer accurate comic book adaptations aren’t for everyone I guess.

If you don't particularly like current comic books, then an accurate adaption wouldn't help raise your appreciation of it.

    "Accuracy" does not necessitate "enjoyment."

If we’re going to waste time making obvious statements then I’ll just say you don’t have to watch them.
