DVD Beaver reviews The Screaming Skull: http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film6/blu-ray_reviews_76/the_screaming_skull_blu-ray.htm "No question that The Screaming Skull is in the 'so bad it's good' category. You might put it down to some of the performances and a less cohesive story. It more laughable than suspenseful or scary. But there is a place for fascinatingly poor productions like this as well in your collection. Times when you don't want anything but an attempt, some atmosphere and a chuckle. The Shout! Factory Blu-ray produces a fine presentation - and the extras are the big selling point. With them, there's significant value here."

So much detail I have never seen before. (Which is only proving how shitty the DVD was, but I've always said it's one of the worst DVD transfers I've ever seen.) In the photo on top of the cop car, I never saw the buildings in the background. Never noticed the windows in the background of the school nurse's office (they're fenced behind the diamond pattern zig zag). The actual tiles on Walter's mother's kitchen floor (I remember only seeing one of the three tile colors). The wall to the right of Duke in his office / upstairs room is cubed. The red in the background of the hallway when Jerome is being transported to the castle-like building on the hilltop. Etc. Nice to know Universal's had their hands on this and just left it in a vault somewhere. Asses. They clearly acquired this when they got SAVOY's films from HBO- they released a Serial Mom Collector's Edition DVD of their own many years ago. I bought it. I would have bought Tales from the Hood if they'd offered it too. Seriously, this is fucked. I don't deserve this.

Streets of Fire Blu-ray Review with screenshot comparisons to the older UK Blu-ray release: http://www.dvdactive.com/reviews/dvd/streets-of-fire2.html I own the German Blu-ray, and the transfer on that one is supposed to be the same that the UK release utilized.
