I found it boring and never was able to finish it. It does have a huge cult following, so maybe my taste in film was off that day. Sold the dvd quickly after buying it. To each his own.
My DVD (got it as a double feature with People Under The Stairs) will do for Shocker. Not a huge fan.
It was definitely underwhelming as I think the Scarecrow sub genre is a cool concept. Night of the Scarecrow, Husk and Dark Night of the Scarecrow would be my picks when it comes to this sub genre.
Eh fuck the haters Scarecrows is great. It starts off slow but when it gets going it's a creepy and atmospheric little horror film. Big fan of it.
Yeah it gets by on atmosphere but it is not enough, it is pretty dull with a lack of interesting characters
There's not much you don't like when it comes to older films. I think it's definitely a "watch first" kind of film. It's definitely not for everybody.
I don't think anyone here hates Scarecrows at all. I like it but I can understand someone finding it boring. I like the atmosphere myself and the movie creepy as hell. The problem was the script of which I don't think they had one. Great atmosphere killer looking scarecrows but no script FAiL. I remember some really stupid scenes where they are in a cabin arguing. OMG what was that noise blah blah yadi yadi........ hah!
And there isn't much you do like. You're one of the most negative people I've ever seen. Lighten up francis!
