If still tied most IMDB votes wins
Vote On: Witchfinder General (1968) The Innocents (1961) Vote OFF: The Sentinel (1977) House on Haunted Hill (1959)
Off: Silence of the Lambs On: Tombs of the Blind Dead Just my opinion, natch, but when the previous round was up until the last second a 4 way tie with 2 points each and needed to be settled via imdb, I think we've reaching the point of dimishing returns. Maybe we should quit while we're (debatably) still ahead?
I was thinking about ending it on Halloween but I can make this the last one if the consensus is that it's been played out. Anyone else agree or disagree with Maybrick?
I was going to suggest stopping it but then I realized the month is almost over anyway so I didn't. But whatever. There's a few I want on the list but I can live with the list as it is.
I think we are pretty much a week past the point of diminishing returns. Still, it is still kind of fun and it's almost Halloween so I can finish the ride up too, either way is ok with me. I dont think the list is better one way or the other, but it has affected my October viewing for the better, so I am grateful for that.
I also could go on with this forever. However the last few rounds have been decided by an extremely small margin of voters and it seems as if few people are interested in continuing. Further rounds are apparently going to dilute the validity of the findings (if there ever was any to begin with). Given a few more rounds I bet crap like I Dismember Mama, House II, or The Mummy (1999) will break into the Top 100.
On: Child's Play, Freddy Vs Jason Off: Deep Red, The Fog We could end this voting for the second list but we could start a new voting thread for the order of the 2 (original and remixed) lists.
SO Far.. Vote On The Innocents (1961) 3 Near Dark (1987) 3 May (2002) 2 Vote Off Nosferatu (1979) 4 Torso (1973) 2 Don't Look Now (1973) 2 Silence Of The Lambs (1991) 2
So I guess this is all over then? Oh well, It was fun while it lasted. We should do another one like this, only with the "Bottom 100" featuring everybody's picks of the worst horror films ever made.
Yeah that would be fun...of course the problem with that is there are a lot of DTV movies out there....
