Haven't seen Land of the Dead yet, but altogether these make for 3 boring titles. Plus, I heard a lot of people were already in love with their HD copies of The Thing.

Yeah, but it doesn't play very well in a Blu-Ray player. ;)

Where's all the extras from the dvds (for Dawn and The Thing at least)?
I'm noticing that on most catalog BR titles, they are movie only or just a fraction of the extras from the normal dvds. It all smells like double-dip city to me.

I'm hoping the extras fall under the banner of "U Control Picture in Picture" and will simply play the extras PiP because they're only SD anyways. :Fingers crossed: If not, well I'll be hanging onto the SD with isolated score which wasn't even on the HD-DVD anyways.

I'll pick up The Thing but fully expect it is a double-dipper with such scant extras.

Fans of THE THING who live in the D.C./Maryland area should note that it will play as a late show for two nights at the AFI Silver Theater in a couple of weeks. That's a great venue,I go there every time I'm in the D.C. area.
