I'm extremely hard on myself, and have always been. This is making for some very, very nasty internal conflict. Combine that with my extremely short fuse when I'm actually able to work on my projects, and that's where I'm at. I have a bit of "reprogramming" to do. I think I'm going to create a simple mantra and start repeating it 24/7 until I become it.

Tmi? Jk (that was a revenge tmi:evil:).

We know from Seinfeld that "Serenity now" doesn't work.

    ok

joking aside, if something is important enough, you'll eventually get around to it.
I'm still trying to discipline myself on some of my less interesting college courses.

If that is your fatal flaw, you don't have THAT much to worry about or overcome.

    Meaning, you can do it.

Don't be hard on your self:) There isn't that much in life worth the stress.

I'm unfortunately the same way. The blind leading the blind, but I'm learning to not be that way.

It took me a day or so to check out this thread. But now that I have I get the sinking feeling that there's something else I should be doing instead. Hmmmm.......Oh well. Whatever it is, it can wait.

I'm seriously planning to clean the house before my family comes to visit tomorrow. I'll do it later.

I've had the same Netflix disc sitting around for like 11 days. I'm too lazy to finish watching it so I can rent and see for the first time: The Wicker Man. And many others. I'm so lazy, I don't even know what else is on my Queue because I don't want to go check.

I've got an eight page paper due next week and instead of even looking up references or information to write about, the news of possibly being laid off when my first child is due in a month along with some other fun tidbits have put me in a depression where it's hard to even care about schoolwork right now.

I really should be trying to amount to something in life.
    (The key word is ''should".)

I am always telling my students to not procrastinate and get their projects/school work done early. I am also in an online reading class where the assignments are due on Saturday's. I have done each of the first 7 weeks assignments on the day they are due. Fucking hypocrite.

I read this thread when it was first posted, but I didn't have anything to say then.

I guess still don't and it's taken me over 35 minutes just to write this post, and I don't know why...
