I should have explained better, but I was referring more to the length of time it has taken me to get the review finished. I've had the disc for a week now.

That figures. Best Buy is a joke when it comes to horror. The section is very small and understocked. I'll be going to Frys for Monster Squad.

Also, I don't know if it has been indicated anywhere, but there is an insert with the original cover art plus some notes from Dekker.

I have it pre-ordered, but it probably won't ship till next week since I'm having it shipped with titles coming out that week too. I'm still looking forward to seeing this again. It's been forever.

    Monster Squad Found!

I found the DVD out early last Tuesday at my local WalMart. Check them out if you want it before Tuesday.

Review is up. Ugh. I know what onebyone means, but consider this: I watched my own, old copy of this last week while on vacation. It was kind of preparation, but mostly because my nieces wanted to see it. Now I get the new disc to review. I watch it once as movie; once with commentary 1; once with commentary 2; and a 90-minute documentary. Poor me, but that IS a lot of Monster Squad. The sad fact is I won't be spinning this disc again for at least another year. :)

According to their online status, they got none in stock at the store here. Best Buy sucketh.

Oh well, I asked yesterday in the store and Hastings is indeed getting them in stock...and cheaper too.

They didn't get it in stock at the Walmart here for some reason. I picked it up earlier at Hastings for $12.99 anyways, so I'm worry-free today. :)

Nice one! Best Buy says they have one on hold for me. I should pick it up by about 7:30pm tonight. I'm itchy.

I got mine at Newbury Comics today for $13.88. It was one of only three copies. When I went to Best Buy to pick up Hard Boiled and The Host they told me they were all sold out of The Monster Squad.

Its amazing. People are standing in line, places sold out already, ... But yet it took this long for them to decide to put the movie out on dvd. Dosen't make sense, huh?

Also, I thought this movie was only popular amongst a select group. And you would think that the majority of under 28 year olds would have no idea about this movie. Either way I'm glad this is selling well.

I ordered mine from Deep Discount and amazingly it showed up today. Looks like this thing is selling like a son of a bitch, it's number 9 on Amazon's best selling DVD list, right behind Zodiac.

Just came back from my local Best Buy. Got the last copy. I spoke to a clerk who told me he personally put out 12 copies this morning. By noon they were gone.

My local BB was one of the ones that didn't get any. I found this out by chattin with a guy who works there and saw me looking at some Masters Of Horror discs. He was more pissed than I was.
I did manage to spend my reward certs. on season 5 of Tales From The Crypt (they had 1-5 for $17.99 each) and Sling Blade for $5.99, then had to cross town to Wal-Mart where there were 3 copies of MS.
Great to hear this selling so well, as hopefully LG will get fucking busy and give Night Of The Creeps a similar treatment!
