strange...it didn't work for me until I copy and pasted the URL to my address bar....oh well ...definitely a Ringu rip off
It may be a blatant ripoff, but at least it isn't the usual group of pretty people standing around with their arms crossed. Small mercies.
it is a rip off its a remake from a japenese movie called "Ju-On", and its basicaly the same story as ringu... its the same type of horror with no gore, you jump every 30sec, with a story that unfold only at the end with multiple clues during the film... :eek2: here's the storyline : Sometimes something happens that’s so bad a house can never recover. When a husband murders his wife, son and cat with box cutter, all the screams, all the bloodstains, and all the violence and rage is etched into the walls, doors, tatami mats and floors of a sweet little suburban home. Years later, a family moves in and, one by one, the unquiet dead of the house drag them down into hell. Events kick off when a social worker shows up at the house to find a trash-strewn mess with only the comatose family matriarch left. We jump back and forth in time to watch as every individual who comes in contact with the house’s homicidal rage becomes infected with violence and all of them vanish in a puff of fear. here's the trailer : http://download.ifilm.com/qt/portal/2640309_200.mov
Mutley...heehe! I hope it retains some of its original's feel and atmosphere and doesn't end up a bad Hollywood remake.
Haven't seen the original, and I think I will actually wait to see the US remake first. SMG is great and I still prefer the US take on The Ring. Call me nuts. I do like Asian cinema, though.
I saw the original Ju On and liked it. Although, none of these Asian supernaturals are that great. Scary my ass. Oh well, still better than Blair Witch.
i can't wait to see the original in theaters tomorrow night. I finally saw the trailer for it before Napoleon Dynamite and it looked creepy as hell.
Is that poster for real? If so - pathetic (but somehow funny). I prefer the asian version of The Ring, but the US version wasn't too bad.
it starts tomorrow at the Nuart theatre in los angeles. I'm not sure if its just there, or a limited release, or what.
