I'm thinking about buying these as christmas gifts for myself. Have heard alot of good things about em but they are pricey... they are both 3 discers. But ya, just want peoples opinions from the forums here if they have seen these.

I have both, and I think they are great films. I think Silmido might be a tad better. If you want a Korean War flick with a horror twist, check out R-Point.

saw a bunch of copies of Tae Guk Gi today at the video store. And they were all rented out... Didn't know people really knew about this flick on this side of the globe. Pretty small place this too Kinda. Anyway, my Region 3 - 3 discer I ordered should be here tomorrow though. Weee! (late christmas gift :) )

I have the Korean 3-Disc boxset of Tae Guk Gi but I haven't watched it yet. Two of my friends love it, though.

Just watched this now... Tae Guk Gi... enjoyed it immensely. :) The last chunk of it is some damn emotional shit. Wow. :) I'll be watching this more than once in the coming weeks me thinks.
