I got for $13 and change shipped from Blowit, but Barnes and Noble's website says Curtains is not available through BN.com
Me 4. I waited all these years, so it's not really a big deal at all. Hell I could wait a couple of weeks more. Especially at $13.73
I can't purchase for some weeks when I get a spendable paycheck - and then it is ON! I've 2 Blu Rays and 2 DVDs of Curtains to get. Hopefully a few other Synapse releases, too.
How did you enter Curtains when looking on Barnes & Noble's website? I can't find it & am of the opinion that their search engine sucks.
It definitely was yesterday, and mine shipped yesterday. This was their item listing, but looks like they've currently sold out.
Contacted Synapse - my copy was out for delivery on Monday but never actually made it to my mail box. All the USPS website states is "The delivery status for this item has not been updated as of July 28, 2014, 11:19 pm."
Curtains dropped in today :banana::banana: The international shipping from DiabolikDVD is lightning fast. The discs shipped on Tuesday, and now only three days later it arrived Usually when I order stuff from Amazon, Deep Discount etc, it takes 7-14 days to arrive. So I expected to have it next week. The weekend is saved!! :glasses:

I watched this last night and wasn't really feeling it. I understand that the production was plagued with issues and it shows. It really made no sense whatsoever. I did enjoy the more dream-like artsy scenes however.
I know what you mean and it's why I cancelled my pre-order of Curtains. Having watched it twice before it wasn't a film I felt was a favourite. The HD master does look fantastic though and it really shines. It's just the story itself which at best leaves a lot to be desired. the review below gives it a half score (not based on the new HD master but on the overall story etc) and I'd agree with the points raised... but those sequences with Lesleh/doll etc are genuinely creepy! http://www.hysteria-lives.co.uk/hysterialives/Hysteria/curtains.html
Funny what you guys are saying. This was a blind buy for me and I didn't know about the production problems or anything, but after it was over, I looked at my wife and said "that felt like two different movies spliced together!" Low and behold, after watching the special features, that's basically what happened. I still liked it some, but don't think I'll be revisiting it anytime soon.
I agree. I had seen the film once before, and kind of liked it in parts...but put that down to mostly viewing the film with such a crappy transfer/audio. Revisiting it on Blu-ray, I didn't really feel much different. It's an okay film, but hardly great or anything. I don't exactly understand all of the praise the film gets.
Yeah I liked it at the screening a few weeks ago but had no idea about its troubled production. I think I would've liked it more had I not known it was basically 2 films spliced together before I saw it. Sad what this film could've been. There are places where you can tell which director is responsible for certain scenes. The style changes completely. ~Matt
