I’d completely forgotten about this when I saw the notice. I’m all in for it.
I'm so behind and still haven't seen the original parts yet.
Season 3 of Slasher is now available on NetFlix.
Wow, last night of Joe Bob until fall and this on the same day. Awesome!!
I thought the first 2 were awesome.
Finished Slasher: Solstice.
I loved the first and last episodes. As for the ones in between... they're more of a mixed bag. Some of it was pretty boring.
There is one aspect where this show 110% delivers: the kills in this are incredibly vicious. If you're a gorehound, you won't be disappointed.
Season 2 is still the best, but I did like this more than Season 1.
Has anyone else binged the new season yet?
Finished episode 4 tonight. I'm not as interested in the characters as I was from season 2 but agree that the kills are brutal. There was one, I think in episode 3, that genuinely had me covering my eyes. And that never happens. For me, the winter setting in season 2 is hard to beat but this is still enjoyable and definitely worth a watch.
I have to hurry and find this show. I love a good winter horror setting. Maybe I'll watch it for this October.
Slasher has made another move, this time to SHUDDER for season 4.
Slasher: Flesh & Blood follows a wealthy but dysfunctional family gathering for a reunion on a secluded island. Their old wounds and competitive rivalries flare up when the family realizes a masked killer is on the island, intent on cruelly picking them off one by one. David Cronenberg himself will be starring.
The first two episodes will premiere on Thursday, August 12th, followed by new episodes weekly. Like the previous seasons, there are 8 episodes.
I love the secluded Island setting.
Anyone watching Slasher: Flesh & Blood on SHUDDER? I'm having a lot of fun with it so far. I think it's their best season yet. Great atmosphere, crazy gore and kills, and a cast of characters you love to hate. Did I mention David Cronenberg? Highly recommended.
New episode tomorrow, followed by the finale next week.
Nah, I watched the second series as I like the snow setting but apart from the gore I found it a complete bore. If you took the gore out it wouldn't be out of place on some afternoon TV slot. I vowed after that to stay away from the rest and have done do far. I just can't muster up the energy after that experience.
Fifth season is a go at SHUDDER:
Slasher, which airs on Shudder, has set Will & Grace’s Eric McCormack as lead on its latest installment, Slasher: Ripper.
The series, which has been renewed for its fifth season, is heading back in time to the late 19th century — there’s a killer stalking the mean streets, but instead of targeting the poor and downtrodden like Jack the Ripper, The Widow is meting out justice against the rich and powerful. The only person standing in the way of this killer is the newly promoted detective, Kenneth Rijkers, whose ironclad belief in justice may wind up being yet another victim.
McCormack will play Basil Garvey, a charismatic tycoon whose success is only rivaled by his ruthlessness, as he oversees a city on the cusp of a new century, and a social upheaval that will see its streets run red with blood.
