I love the atmosphere a small seaside town has to offer the genre. Wooden buildings, harbors, bells tolling in the distance; Dead & Buried, The Fog, I Know What You Did Last Summer. These films are some of my favorites based perhaps solely on their locale.

What are some others y'all can recommend?

Different than those you mentioned but Orca,The Killer Whale features a beautiful seaside town. Filmed in the Maritimes I believe, planning to move there eventually.

Only movies that give me this type of goosebumps is The Mutilator. The rest of the films mentioned do absolutely nothing for me. I will say an amazing film that would quench your appetite and thirst. Is the original Woman In Black the DVD is hard as fuck to find. I am also not that crazy for the lackluster video presentation. Really wish someone would remaster that damn movie already!!!

The Slayer. Caught this film recently for the first time and fucking loved it. Code Red supposedly has the rights.

Humongous isn't bad. Also Terror on the Beach is nice little made for tv thriller with Dennis Weaver starring.

Yeah the dreadful atmosphere on The Slayers is amazing! Humongous has it's moments and is not very good. My brain must be melting how in the hell did I forget these??

How about Blood Beach? The scenes under the pier reek of dread. You can almost smell the salt in the air.

Ya, Humongous, Mutilator and Slayer are super important. I think I just had active harbor towns in mind. If we're expanding a little then you can add...

    Shock Waves
    Island of Death
    Torture a Duckling
    Have a Nice Weekend

You know, I would love to see this movie. I hear it's shit but it was such a huge part of my childhood videostore days that I refuse to believe that I wouldn't enjoy it.

Same here, and I finally watched it for the first time a couple of years ago. It was about as crappy as I heard it would be, but I feel like I need to revisit it again :D

I also love the foreign artwork and had to track down this poster...

The British/Italian/Greek coproduction THE SECRET OF SEAGULL ISLAND, it's a Giallo that exists as both a feature and a miniseries. Not really horror, more of a thriller, but EYE OF THE NEEDLE has great locations and a terrific cast.
