Unfortunately like a lot of Alliance releases looks like these will only be 1080i and include no extras. I have a feeling the trilogy will get released in the States next year when part 4 hits.

Intriguing. 1080i or not, the first especially has to be an improvement over the non-anamorphic DVD.

I ordered this from cdplus.com for $25 and that includes shipping to the US. :D If they release the original uncut in the US, then I will re-buy that one but this is a worthy deal imo as I almost bought the 3 dvd set for $20. I also love the cover!

I can't read german but 5 1 star reviews doesn't seem too good. The alliance is the theatrical version I've heard but cannot confirm. I would love an uncut blu-ray to see Tatum's head get crushed - that deleted scene amuses me!

Yeah I'm waiting for a proper USA release as well. Although I do have the first film from Australia on BD and it's actually a pretty nice disc.

It is. All films are 1080i, but they all have DTS-MA audio (the package incorrectly lists the audio as Dolby 5.1).

bit the bullet and ordered them , the price isn't bad and if a better release comes along it won't hurt

can't wait to see part 2 in anamorphic even if it is interlaced

    just a question

do you really notice a difference between an interlaced bluray with the higher bitrate as much as say an interlaced dvd ala house on sorority row?

No. There's no visible lines. I watch everything on a 106" projection screen, and it doesn't bother me at all. I can't even tell if it's interlaced based on the image alone.

The people at Amazon.de are ripping this blu ray box set to pieces. 1) It's HEAVILY CUT (part 1), and 2) The aspect ratio for some of the films is not correct.

    Better stay away!

What made you buy it there versus Amazon.ca?

Amazon.ca charges about $10 shipping to the USA.

I also got the shipped notice from CDPlus.
