Feel like I SHOULD want Rituals, but after checking my dvd, that was very watchable (either my player or TV does a hell of a job upscaling), I don't know it I can justify the price ( I'd be locked to diabolik and their postage).
Color correction alone justifies the price. The reddish-brownish cast of the Code Red DVD is mostly gone.
My Rituals blu-ray just arrived (with the magnet). Lightning fast free shipping from Ronin, as always.
I was worried these would sell out, but I get paid tomorrow so I'll be placing an order for Rituals, The Psychic and probably Savage Streets. ~Matt
I received it (along with The Psychic + magnet) from Ronin today, and the transfer looks A LOT better than the Code Red DVD.
Can someone who has the disc confirm if Rituals Blu ray has optional English subtitles for the film. I don't think that info listed on the back cover. I had written in my notes to upgrade for the subs but don't remember where all I saw that mentioned besides blu-ray.com. Thanks in advance.
Yes, it definitely does have optional English subtitles as a set-up option on the disc. They are listed on the back cover also...

Walt was upfront that this would not look flawless, and first and foremost, I'm grateful for the release. I am, however, anxious to see the ending on Blu: Spoiler I LOVE disfigured villains, and I really hope the Blu-ray improves upon the detail, so that we can better appreciate how gruesome the killer looks.
In case anybody has missed out, thus far: https://www.facebook.com/scorpionreleasinginfo/photos/a.126168180875975/1119332778226172/
What's all that about? Remaining copies? Thing has been oop for a long, long time. So Diabolik was sitting on inventory. Interesting. Can't trust anyone anymore. Nobody is reputable.

Not quite. Walt has been talking about putting the remaining stock for sale online for a month or so. Here's what he said early in January: "It's has came to my attention that a certain individual thinks he has the legal right to sell my out of print copies of the Joysticks Blu-Ray. I've informed them on his Facebook page that he does not have the legal right to do this. I had, however, sold my last remaining units quite some time ago to a very reputable store who I just spoke with recently, and he's going to put up his last remaining units for retail price. This is what it should sell for, retail, not something completely overinflated. I do not want my reputation tarnished by this unsavory individual." FYI, that "certain individual" was Walt's brother, who was essentially scalping Joysticks on his own site, as well as at Dark Force. I don't see a problem with how things went with Diabolik, as they did not jack up the price for the remaining stock.
I finally ordered Grizzly. I’ve been wanting it for ages. Spasms is on my wish list too. Anyone here have Scorpion’s bluray release of Spasms? The code red dvd was disappointing, so I sold it off quite sometime ago.
Spasms is a Code Red Blu-ray. It looks a lot better than the DVD, but about 10 minutes of the film are still an SD upscale.
