Beverly sells the Rocktober Blood soundtrack LP, posters, and film used props on Ebay. She sold the microphone-sword, the knife (supposedly used in the cover shot), and some gloves if I am not mistaken. They went for some ridiculous prices. I messaged her and grabbed a poster for $40 shipped. Nice lady. If Paypal was accepted, I'd grab the BD,... but I just don't want to risk it if this turns out to be a sub par experience all around.
I would imagine a lot of people are taking your approach. I'll report in right away when I get the BD.
Pretty sure this will be a glorified bd25. If it were bd50 maybe then the price tag would be justified. I have 2 versions and I preffer the extended Japanese VHS version myself. As it's a little bit longer by a few min. The other standard VHS rip I have is very clean and nice loking. Hopefully this overpriced blu ray will give this film justice.
I hope they include interviews with cast members...like Tray, Donna, and the fellas from Sorcery. Interesting trivia: Record label Hell's Headbangers tried to acquire the rights for the soundtrack in order to do a re-issue a couple of years back. But apparently Perry Morris of Sorcery wanted like $50 grand or some other absurd number for the rights. Which I don't even think he has. Of course HHR declined and Perry Morris said suit yourself and admitted that he has a storage locker containing boxes of the soundtrack. Also, If anyone is aware of the band Acid Witch, they recently released an EP covering the song "I'm Back" and apparently, Morris was not too happy about that either and threatened to take the members of Acid Witch and Hells Headbangers to court for royalties. Haha!
So this guy is just sitting on boxes of this soundtrack LP collecting dust in a storage locker? One of the rarest horror soundtrack LPs and there are just dozens of them sitting somewhere? This makes me angry.
He said he had intentions of selling them on Ebay or some shit...whether he will follow through, I have no idea. And like I said earlier, Beverly sells sealed copies on Ebay every once in awhile as well. I don't remember how many copies she had, but if you're looking for one, might as well drop her a line and see if she will sell you one outside of Ebay. Her listings for the LP usually end at the $200 mark though, so I don't know how much she would be willing to sell them off Ebay for.
Got the same email here. I see that the USPS tracking update system shows a 1st class package coming from Pottstown, PA that I don't recognize... so I guess that's probably it. It should be here on Thursday. Edit: Nope, that wasn't the package... it was the replacement disc for Dangerous Men from MVD.
https://www.facebook.com/rocktoberblood/posts/1640167836225070 So, uh, yeah... they haven't been shipped, but will soon I guess.
Yep, got my shipping confirmation earlier also. No tracking # given, but it definitely says "Your order has been shipped!" this time around.
Not sure if self distributing was a good idea, considering lack of exposure, but at 50 bucks for a regular blu-ray, multiply it by the 750 or so likes on the wall (none of which are mine)... which equals about $37,500... and factor in that that's not including the autographed ones, or masks, etc... This may have been a smart move. I wanted to wait until reviews came out, considering it's a "director's cut", but fuck it. I'm rich at the moment. Time to buy Rocktober Blood!
I really want this title on blu-ray. That being said, it's 50 friggin dollars! For one movie. I just don't see it happening. Maybe if I work some overtime...hmmm.
