Shriek Show is releasing but I couldn't find any cover art yet.
Anyhoo, glad this piece of bloody supernatural cheese is hitting DVD (hopefully in 16:9 and with Joe Bob intro).
I really enjoyed Blood Sisters & Tenement so I'm definitely adding this one to my list.

Any thoughts and comments about The Oracle?

I really can't remember The Oracle, but since it's a Roberta Findlay flick I'll surely pick this one up.

I remember bits and pieces (it's been ages!) and I think at least ONE decapitation, but that's about it.

I'm definitely ordering it on Tuesday. I would probably just buy it in a store, but I really doubt I'll find it anywhere.

I love Xploited and did see it on their new stock page back then, but I've already pre-ordered it from DDD a little cheaper.

Well what do you know....I was in Best Buy last night and found one DVD of The Oracle sitting on the shelf for only $10.99. I also had a $5 rewards certificate to use, yay! I really love the coverart on this one. The movie looks pretty good, although it's in 1.33:1 full screen format. Perhaps Findlay mentions that's the correct OAR in the interview or audio commentary...

I thought sure I had pre-ordered it at DDD, but I was confused with another similar title I pre-ordered. For once I'm glad I screwed up!

Is full screen for this one the OAR?

It's a decent flick for what it is. The plot is somewhat similar to Witchboard at times I suppose. Trashy and low budget, shot entirely in New York City...and most of the crew were drunk while working on it, or at least it sounds like that from the interview.

Roberta Findlay absolutely hates horror movies, which seems kind of ironic.

  18. She hates horror movies? She only directed a handful of them! Even though I have her addy, guess I won't be writing any time soon.

Yep, on the Blood Sisters DVD and on this DVD she states in the interviews/commentary that she hates horror movies with a passion. The only one she can really stand is Rosemary's Baby. It really sounds like she only did the horror flicks as a pay check. If someone asks her to do an interview, she'll ask "How much do I get paid?"

I wouldn't write her either...on the 28+ minute interview on this DVD she basically implies that she doesn't really like fans bugging her, or at least the annoying ones! :eek2:
