Samara and Leonard Hofstadter in the same movie?! I'm game haha!

The trailer showed at a recent festival went down well (pun intended), so hopefully we'll see that soon too!

I was looking forward to Ring 3D more. But I'll still see this one.

Well, another trailer that didn't save anything for the movie itself :D

I love the first Ringu movie, but these Hollywood versions of J-horror films, just doesn't do anything for me.
They lack the atmosphere that made the originals scary.

The first Hollywood version of RING had a few moments, but the second was beyond terrible.
This one looks a bit better, but I don't really have any high expectations of it.
But it might surprise me in the end.

I have to admit hearing that sound again when you see Samara on the TV gave me chills. Part of the charm of the original American remake was Hans Zimmer's score. This film was composed by Ben Wallfisch (Lights Out) with Zimmer as the Executive Music Producer. The music in the trailer is similar and I hope the film utilizes Zimmer's earlier themes.

In terms of the trailer, it shows way too much and it's far too long. They would have peaked everyone's interest by just showing the beginning scene with the her ripping the TV off the wall.

The budget on this film is high for a horror film ($33 million). It'll be interesting to see if it breaks $100 million domestically.

I'm sure it will. It'll have two things going for it in that regard........one, I guarantee it'll be PG-13 so you'll get the junior high 'lets double date and try n cop a titty feel during a horror movie' crowd..... as well as the older crowd who WERE that aforementioned crowd in 2002 when the US original hit theaters and are interested in seeing it. I'll wait for the early reviews and decide if I wanna catch it at a later time. Probably won't catch it in the theaters. I was a senior in high school when The Ring came out, caught it in the theaters and thought it was incredibly over rated.

Nothing about this trailer screams out that it is a must see. If anything it looks no different than any other supernatural horror film being pumped out by Hollywood in 2016.

It looks like a possession movie (all millennial possession movies are trying to be part-body horror) mixed with a disease/infection movie. Or like it's using the latter to not be called out for being a shitty former instead of a reinvention or re-energize-ing of the wave of late 90's/early 00's ghost movies like Sixth Sense, Stir of Echoes, House on Haunted Hill '99, and What Lies Beneath.

I hate to say it but, I miss The Others. It was honest and genuine and didn't resort to bullshit tricks to have a great story, worthwhile characters, and scenes you actually remember once it's over.

The Others is about as perfect a film as one could ask for, and I've never been overly fond of Nicole Kidman's acting. The child actors are magnificent, which is extreamly difficult to pull off.

The Ring 3 couldn't possibly be worse than the second. I didn't see either film in the theaters. I'm on the fence about seeing this one.

All looks a bit contrived..... except for the plane. That looked cool.

Didn't see Johnny Galeki in the trailer... Even though he's 3rd billed.

I remember when gimmick movies in the genre weren't just about gimmicks. And the days of gimmicks being just gimmicks (William Castle comes to mind) are long since over. They were great and fun and all (and even then we still used to get movies with substance like the original Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Carnival of Souls, etc) but when is this time in horror (and, frankly, the last 14 years) going to actually reveal what it stands for? Other than being unoriginal, repetitious, banal, obnoxious, and disposable?

I couldn't disagree more. I saw The Others in the theaters and was bored out of my skull. Hate that movie with a passion.

"gimmick movies in the genre weren't just about gimmicks. And the days of gimmicks being just gimmicks" Is that a fucking riddle? Fuck does that mean?

I saw the second film in theaters and it was one of the funniest non comedies I've ever seen. Me and a few friends were cracking jokes the entire time.

This looks decent. I'll wait for disc.

Also Natas....It's DVD-Fanatic 9. It means nothing. Just gibberish.
