I cannot rate the quality of the discs themselves, but among my favorite Full Moon films are the original PUPPETMASTER.DARK ANGEL:THE ASCENT,PIT AND THE PENDULUM and TRANCERS (which I think was originally released theatrically by another label(Empire ?),but which was taken in by Full Moon ,who did a slew of sequels.

You really can't go wrong with any thing made in like 1993 or before.

I love the puppet master series. That's an obvious choice though. I've always been of fan of Shrunken Heads. It's kind of goofy but it has some great moments.

A lot of these are obvious ones to me that I already own or have seen (like Castle Freak & Puppet Master).

I picked up Blood Dolls last night so I'll give that a spin later.

NIGHTBREED - They had every single movie you mentioned there. Are these OOP?

Dark Angel hasn't been released on DVD. It is a good one though, one of the must haves for LD buyers. Though I'd assume it'll be out in Full Moon's next boxset or so.

I think beyond the obvious stuff like Puppet Master it's really just plain old Full Moon, meaning they had a pretty solid output during the earlier half of the 90's. The only stuff to really avoid is the 1999-2004 era stuff like Totem that's total crap. Basically anything that sounds like every other DTV feature since Scream will be just that.

If they have the Subspecies boxset don't get it if it's a single extra large case. Not only is the case crap but this version had a lot of production problem. The one to get is V2 which is the boxset with single disc editions. I believe there's a reference to it being a second bath, either in the fine print on the back or in the item number/UPC label.

Well I know for sure that Shadowzone is OOP. It's only $1.99 so I'll be picking that up.

But there was a TON of Full Moon DVDs, probably like 15-20 I saw but I don't know where to start, which ones are OOP meaning which ones I should grab while I can, etc. For example, I almost bought Shrieker and that's still available everywhere.

That's why I ask. I'll probably be heading back tomorrow or Friday. They also have some older Anchor Bay titles, like Beast With a Gun (which I grabbed) and Iguana.

Apparently Subspecies I, II, and IV have audio and video glitches. Full Moon will send you replacement discs if you contact them. I did a quick search and didn't find any online information direct from Full Moon but people say they've been able to get the replacements. I don't personally own these versions so I haven't seen the "glitches" myself.

I love China O'Brien. It has Cynthia Rothrock, need I say more? :)

All of the others I would recommend, although I don't think I've ever seen Iguana.

Is Netherworld any good? I'm thinking of ordering it from DDD. It sounds interesting, but is it?

I like it, but a lot of people don't it seems. It's set down south in the bayou.

I like it too. It isn't a great film, but for a Band production, it's plenty atmospheric.
