It's taken almost 17 years but Scott Spiegel's gore-shorn supermarket slasher Intruder (1988) is finaly getting an uncut release. Starring Renee Estevez, Ted Raimi & Alvy Moore, it's coming to Region 1 on March 29th from uncredited producer Charles Band's reborn Wizard Entertainment. Visit for Quicktime Trailer!
We've added a Desktop section containing the ultimate slasher screensaver as well as several drool-worthy retro slasher wallpapers created by former Camp Hack/Slash webmaster Drew Bourdet.

Much more goodies will be coming your way in the next few days including the debut of our selected Special Edition DVD Reviewer. Stay gory!

There are two version of the cover art on the new Wizard website. With Charles Band who knows how it will turn out, we'll probably get the crappy green cover. And from the recently released Full Moon DVD's I've viewed lately....I wouldn't expect great picture or sound quality. And extras? Hopefully...but I kinda doubt it. I'd love to hear a commentary track from Spiegel.

I believe the cover with the green title is just for the sell sheet (it still has the Full Moon logo on the spine). My guess is that the real cover is the red one. I hope the transfer is good, my old VHS boot was nearly unwatchable.

Unless there are some sweet extras or much improved pic quality, I'll just stick with my Dragon version of this underrated slasher.

Well since Charles Band was executive producer on the film, I'd like to think he 'd have access to a decent print.

Unless things have changed from the recent Shadow/Full Moon DVD days, it's up in the air... the Cemetary High DVD had some of the worst picture and sound quality I've seen in awhile, even the VHS was superior.

I'll wait for the reviews of the new discs before buying it, I'm happy right now with the Dragon disc. If the reviews are good and the picture quality is better...then hell yeah, I'll buy it again.

  16. That sure hasn't helped the DVDs Band has released of any of the other films he produced. All the Full Moon releases I've seen and/or owned have had shitty video quality, and the theatrical releases haven't been in their OARs.

I'm still holding out hope until I read some reviews. I believe JR Bookwalter was originally supposed to be involved with this release. It'd be nice if he could chime in with some specs. :)

  18. What would Bookwalter have to do with it? Are you maybe thinking of The Dead Next Door?
