They do work really well, but even then it's good to pad them with plastic bags to retain the overall shape. Usually they sit pretty loosely on those heads. That being said, I've still had some masks start to deteriorate. When that happens it's a good idea to foam fill them if you get to them in time and use it as a display piece. Alternatively there's guys out there who can patch up a lot of these issues when they arise but it's often $$$. I currently have a Jason one I had to foam fill and need to find the time to address the problem areas so I can put the hock back on it and dress it up. Adult life!
Sadly they didn't go all out on the base. Must be a cost thing. I don't know how else the guy that was with Sideshow and supervised good bases on Skeletor and Evil Lyn with the snake and lava base could turn in just a simple mountain base with some lava cracks. You would think we would see some reference to Snake Mountain. But I guess not. I probably would have added some arms too since they have so much chest showing.
Iron Studios just put Klassic Mortal Kombat Scorpion and Sub-Zero up for pre-order. I posted the images along with the previous characters in the Mortal Kombat movie topic for those that aren't checking over there. http://horrordvds.com/community/threads/mortal-kombat-2021-produced-by-james-wan.49077/#post-876685
I still don't get these. But if they made a woman alien, I might get them. They have a bunch of these small horror figures coming out this year. I saw them all on Toyark today.
I found this really cool costume store near me.....scored this badass mask for 15 bucks. I've since blackened out around the eyes with a sharpie on the manicin head under. Looks killer.
Sideshow's Convention for the closed Comic Con is coming up. Free $5 for registering. Probably the last of the usable easy free money. https://www.sideshow.com/events/sideshow-con
I was right. Two days in and the only free points from Sideshow are from some kind of game contest. And even then you have to get all the questions right I think.
No free money for me. And I didn't see much from Sideshow's Comic Con releases. Another sad thing with these limited collectibles and collectibles in general is with the pandemic and people at home, many of these have gone up in price. I guess it's good that Sideshow is remaking a lot of characters again. But still if you want an older piece, you'll have to pay more. At least for now.
it’s a sellers market, for sure. I sold off a ton of my nonsense during the pandemic and was shocked by what I made and how quickly everything sold.
I'm very tempted by these Tiki Mugs: https://www.kickstarter.com/project...ood-island-jungle-horror-comics-and-tiki-mugs They've reached their goals so they'll be produced. But MAN are they expensive. And I'm not too keen on the comic books (I just never have the time to read them so I've stopped picking any up). I've been cutting back on these kinds of things. Don't think I can justify the cost. I just might get these though: https://www.entertainmentearth.com/s/?query1=Cereal+Monster+Tiki I've made it a habit to pickup merchandise with the Breakfast Ghouls because they were so rare but as they get more common I'm thinking I'll have to pull back on that too. But a Yummy Mummy Tiki would go well with my full sized mummy I keep out all year 'round. Or at least I can claim so.
What were you selling? People love these Tiki mugs these days. I don't know when it started. Mondo keeps making them. https://mondoshop.com/collections/tiki-mugs When I was a kid, I think I had a skull type tiki mug. Who knows what happened to it.
Comics, sports cards and movies. All of it sold strong. Cooled off now, but it was like I couldn’t keep enough things posted for a while.
Yeah those comics and cards are going crazy. I saw a story about people fighting or shots fired at Target over cards. All this sealed boxed stuff is going for a lot because of companies grading stuff. It's stupid to me because you are just grading the tightness of plastic at that point.
Picked up these really cool Season of the Witch vintage style Halloween decorations. I may end up laminating but just tossed them up for now.
Vampirella. 1/3 Scale! Her face should be better for that size though. A post over on Statueforum.com said they might be updating it.
