Is it still in print? I purchased it from Xploited Cinema a few years ago, but I don't think they carry it now.
i know only of a DVD from Dragon/Shock and it's fullscreen and not too great quality. it's also a disappointing movie with very little gore
I just watched this and I can't understand how this hasn't gotten a real DVD release. Well, considering how many 80's slashers still have not made that transition I guess I can, but add this to the list. It's perfect 80's slasher cheese. I have the Imperial VHS and it's obvious almost every kill scene has been trimmed by the MPAA - jerky editing. Find the uncut print of this flick and release a nice widescreen transfer - choice!
DVD Compare says the Dragon release is uncut...but it might be inaccurate. I own the Dutch DVD. I never noticed anything cut, and the transfer actually looks pretty good. It's grainy and the detail is good. It may have come from a film source. If not, then it came from a very good video master at least. Defintiely not a direct VHS port.
Good to hear - you can tell the cuts especially on scenes like the egg beater going in the girl's mouth and the hockey pledge with the bugs coming out of his stomach - they both have abrupt cuts on the VHS. They both show the lead up (sctrambler coming/belly growing and bleeding) but then skip to the after shot - you don't see the stomach explode or the egg beater grinding in the chick's mouth/throat.
