Larry Flint is right. Looks like the going rate now is about $45. How long before it dips below $35? How long before the DVD goes OOP and is worth more than the Blu

In my opinion, $1.49 is about what this blu-ray is worth.

Anyone familiar with the VUDU copy of this film? The HDX version appears to be in 1080P, albeit at a fraction of the bitrate that the Blu-Ray has, but apparently with the original color timing. I've never really tried VUDU before, but on paper it seems like this might be the highest quality copy of NOTLD 90 in circulation with the correct color timing.

Edit: I think you can only obtain the HDX version by converting your DVD to Digital.

Hope you at least got $100++, I sold mine for $150++.

I ordered mine within the fist 30 min it was up for grabs. So I got mine 2 days before anyone here claimed they got theirs. I wasted no time selling this piece of utter shit. Sold the same exact day i put it up for sale good riddance! Now it's in fact quickly going down in value lighting fast speed. Pretty sure this blu ray won't be worth jack f/n shit very soon.

Well if it makes you feel better when you get i'll buy it off you. Probably wont be worth shit a month from now though. Or you can take your chances selling it elsewhere on your own terms.

Just because you're used to watching a movie a certain way (the wrong way) on VHS and DVD doesn't mean it was the correct way. By all indications from the DOP, Sony, and Savini, this is the CORRECT VERSION OF THE MOVIE. What right does anyone have to complain?

For example, when I saw the DVD of Nightmare on Elm Street for the first time, I was appalled. I could see Freddy's face clear as day in many scenes that were previously shrouded in darkness from that dark-as-fuck VHS transfer by Media Home Entertainment (which, they were notorious for... Fatal Games, To all A Goodnight, etc.). I had grown up living and breathing the Media version. Now, I realize that was the incorrect version. I was the one with the hang-up, not New Line. It took some adjusting on my part, but I eventually got used to the "new" version.

IF this is the correct version of the movie as it was originally intended to be seen (as it seems to be indicated), YOU yourself are the one with the problem. Not Twilight Time, Sony, or anyone else. Like I said, better get used to this version.

I think a lot of this stems from the fact that only 3,000 people will get to have the correct version. That does suck, I admit, but don't belittle the release just because you acted late and didn't buy one. Most everyone knew right up front that it would be a limited pressing, and based on Fright Night, you should've known it would sell out.
