movies WORSE than Plan 9 From Outer Space

I regard PLAN NINE FROM OUTER SPACE as being somewhere in the bottom fifty movies ever made, but it's certainly not the worst. Here are my picks for movies that are even crummier...

I actually liked The Creeping Terror-it was awful but entertaining. Should be on a double bill with Robot Monster.

I'll say Dark Ride. The worst new film I've seen in a long time.

For a terrible werewolf movie it's also hard to beat The Werewolf Of Washington. More a parody though, a lame one at that.

 

Just saw the Dukes of Hazzard movie today - that's got Plan 9 beat all to hell. Pretty much anything off those Brentwood 4 and 10 movie sets makes Plan 9 look adequately budgeted,well acted and just downright exciting in comparison. A few that come to mind:

I caught about 10 minutes of DUKES OF HAZZARD and I have to agree.

 

Until you dare to see Part 2 which is a freaking prequel!!! That's right, prequel!

Good call (or is it bad call?) on that one. That was bad, awful, and terrible with no redeeming qualities at all. I am still trying to get back brain cells I lost during that experience. Damn my car for needing service that day, leaving me with about 2 hours to kill and nothing to do but go to the movies.

Night of the Ghouls. Everything else Ed Wood did was still entertaining, but Ghouls is rather dull and plodding.

From Hell It Came is pretty bad, it's a guy in a walking tree suit. What the hell were they thinking?

I just bought the December 1964 issue of Famous Monsters of Filmland for the production article on The Creeping Terror. It includes behind the scenes production stills one which has a girl smiling to the camera from under the monster's costume after she's already been eaten, so I just had to get it.

I think Teenagers from Outer Space takes a little bit too much heat as being one of the worse of the sci-fi genre. It's well constructed even if it's about the lowest budget you could have.

For more modern trash probably the worst movie I've seen is Black Devil Doll From Hell. All the nudity can't even save that crap. I hear the director's follow up Tales from the Quadead Zone is even worse but I haven't seen it.

Midnight Movie Massacre is barely watchable. It's a dopey movie about folks at a midnite showing watching bad sci-fi while and alien eats a few people in the theater. This one's a real test of edurance.

Vampire Honeymoon, the most recently made of my list and imported from asia, is probably the single worst vampire movie ever made. It actually makes the Polonia Brothers' films withstandable.

 

That's another piece of garbage. Plan 9 really is a masterpiece up against that.

 

Dead and Breakfast, virtually any Troma production, and by all means EVERYTHING that has the Polonia Brothers names attached to it!

 

One horror fan from the early days of Yahoo horror movie boards said HEADLESS EYES is one of the worst - purely vile flicks he has ever had to sit thru.
It's hard to say what a worse flick other than PLAN 9 is since that movie is so much fun to watch.
I guess a film that was bad AND not fun to see would have to be STUFF STEPHANIE IN THE INCINERATOR or FAT GUY GOES NUTZOID. Not nearly as fun as their ads would suggest.

 

Please, no criticism of Headless Eyes, it's one of my major WANTS.
