Hmm. For the first time I think I may be interested in that bundle. I usually want only one or two titles. I hope they tell us ahead of time the price of the bundle so we can get used to it rather than get sticker shock at check out. edit: I messaged him and he says he thinks it will be $107 plus $5 for shipping.
Human Animals is another oddity. It is a silent film with an uninteresting musical score. The film features two men, one woman, and a dog. That is the entire cast. Let me see if I can state the plot. The film begins with a nuclear war. The three actors awaken on a hill in the desert. They wander around a bit and end up at the beach. There is a semi crab attack (needs to be seen for full effect) and then they find an old house where they meet the dog. From there they wander to a paradise (Eden) where they have fresh water, fruit trees, fish, and small game to eat. They decide to build a home. Since there is only one woman each of the men sleeps with her even though one of them is her brother. She is so desirable that the dog ends up sleeping with her as well. The dog then scares off the two men. I won't give away the ending but it's not very exciting. Carole Kirkham is attractive and spends the majority of the film in the nude. That will likely be the highlight of this film for anyone that watches.
By 12:01, order completed! Can't imagine how I could possibly have done it any faster other than not have to enter my name and shipping. Didn't want to waste any more time trying to figure it out. edit: Just placed a second order for older releases (Devil Incarnate, Inquisition, and Satanico Pandemonium) and realized that my computer saved my shipping information which would have saved me a few seconds. Oops.
I know that there are bots you can buy or pay to use but I always kind of figured that there are a lot of people out there who just write their own.
I was able to order SCHOOL OF DEATH. I love those European period thrillers. I've never seen it, hope it's a good one
Damn, I thought it was this coming Tuesday so I was unaware it was even going. Fortunately the bundle didn't sell out so I was still able to pick that up. I might get them later but at least I'll get them. I'm glad MM has bumped the numbers up a bit on these. If they sold out in seconds, minutes, hours, even over a weekend, that's not fair to fans or distributors themselves. That's money left on the table. So, while it's unfortunate to see the last LE set still available I'd rather see stuff hang around for a few months instead of gone even in just a few days.
Cool. MM has shipping out my secondary order of back catalog titles. I’d love if they arrived on Saturday but I won’t hold my breath.
If anybody is interested, my non pre-orders from the sale arrived today. Pretty quick considering the post office gave this Saturday for an estimate.
It's interesting that MM is putting this film out as it seems that Arrow released a vinyl soundtrack. I like Arrow's artwork better than the original Italian Locandina.
