I went to pre-order this and other discs on Deep Discount today but they didn't have any listing for Mausoleum/Blood Song. Other sites proved more fruitful but I just found it odd that Deep Discount used to have it on their site and it's suddenly gone. Anyone have any idea?

Yeah I noticed that too - not sure what's going on as Amazon still has it slated for an Oct. 14 release.

It's definitely coming out. It's already shipped from BCI to distributors so it will make street date.

I can't seem to find a listing for it either. I know they did have it because I preordered it on September 5th.

Why is that odd? Titles disappear from their website all of the time, usually just before a sale but not always.

Mainly because how can people pre-order it if it's not on the site? I know it's only a couple of weeks away but I'm sure, like a lot of upcoming titles, it might be harder to find at first.

They can't, obviously. Again, I don't see this as anything unusual. If they're choosing not to sell it, then go elsewhere. It's not a big deal. Often times Deep Discount doesn't have the lowest price, anyways.

Deep Discount did this repeatedly with Media Blasters/Shriek Show titles right before their 20% off sales kicked in. This is just further reason not to remain loyal to one single online store.

Familyvideo.com has had it listed as in stock for over a week. I placed an order for it, but two of the other titles I had in my basket were pre-orders, so it hasn't shipped yet.

Only an actor commentary on MAUSOLEUM. I haven't had a chance to look at both films, but BLOOD SONG is listed at 1.33:1 and MAUSOLEUM as 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen. I hope to get at the review this weekend to post sometime next week.

i watched the double feature last night.
MAUSOLEUM looks scratchy and worn at the beginning, but gets better as the film goes on. Although i prefer movies in anamorphic widescreen, this one feels slightly cramped compared with the original VHS.
BLOOD SONG is full screen, and a bit fuzzy. Considering the rarity of the film, I was OK with that and it felt like i was watching an old VHS.
Some of the trailers were fun, but bad quality.
Overall, if you can find the DVD for $10, I'd say you'll get your money's worth.

Finally found Blood Song/Mausoleum at one of 3 Best Buys I went to. Two of them didn't even have them so I felt kind of lucky I guess.

Well, at least Mausoleum is anamorphic, but is it uncut? One way to tell is in the beginning scene in the cemetery. When that caretaker get's it do you actually see the back of his head pop off.

nope you don't actually see the back off his head pop off, just the aftermath, so i guess it isn't uncut..... too bad!
