Got mine as well
The rated cut of Waxwork opens with the Vestron logo on this set.
The unrated cut on the double feature opens with the Artisan Entertainment logo.
I put that theory to shame as I found the sets at a Norwalk, CT WalMart finally! After searching two other stores in Fairfield County I procured both DVDs on my third try.
I grabbed a few extra Blood Diner's for anyone that's interested or having issues finding them. I definitely have at least 2 I can get rid of now and waiting to hear back from some peeps on a couple others. I may have 1 or 2 extra CHUD II sets too, but I need to hear back on those as well first.
Anyone interested PM me - $10 shipped for each within the U.S.
Thanks man, I'd been hoping someone would post this. Unfortunately it's not bringing up much on the web except for this thread! It matches what's on Amazon.com so it should be good.
Just have to wait for Lionsgate to get their act together I guess.
Watch all the low post count accounts bomb your PM box.
I plan on doing some racial profiling
Just received my 8 movie set in the mail! Watching The Unholy now, first time ever. I think I'll spin 976-EVIL 2 afterwards. Now come on Blood Diner! I kind of hope lionsgate let's a few more titles they've sat on for years out on sets like these. Stepfather III in particular...
Was it really worth the $49 price tag you paid?
Ehh, I might have been a little hasty on this, but really it doesnt bother me much. I've got the blood diner set on the way for $20 and really, I'm in Canada so I don't have alot of faith they'll show up here period. Just like that echo bridge cheapy set with Curtains on it I tried to find up here. Waste of my time bin-diving for that up here.
Watched Ghoulies III and it looked good. Not great but good. Fun film. Haven't seen it in forever.
Sad that Lionsgate decided to go with a fullscreen print for Class of 1999. Their previous widescreen dvd looked pretty good. Confuses me why they are using different prints for these sets.
You shouldn't have to pay up the ass for a $5 set. I used to see that Curtains DVD at K-mart all the time. Absolute piece of junk with a sub-par green tinted transfer. For some reason these Horror collections sets are M.I.A in Canada. I never knew there was Walmart in Canada that's wild. I wonder if your customs office might be keeping out these sets? Interesting to see you got your package without customs seizing it. This is just flat out insane in my opinion. Lionsgate didn't help either by fattening up the troll sellers pockets. They should have made this a wide release instead of this limited non existing UPC crap. This whole ordeal on Lionsgate part is F'd up no matter how you slice it.
I wonder if Rhett has had any luck scoring this?
To anyone else in CT I have found the Chud 2 set & the blood diner set at the walmart in North Branford & Milford. Though I did find it was hard to find a copy in good condition. Eco cases and Walmart dump bins do not mix well.
Oh there are walmarts up here, best buys too. But unfortunately they never carry the exclusives the US seems to get and it drives me nuts! Futureshop occasionally gets some BB exclusives, but not all. It's killing me that I have to wait to get The Ring on blu-ray too.
I remember you and/or someone else here saying that - what was wrong with them? Wrapper coming off or cracked case or something? All the ones I grabbed seem perfectly fine.
Who's wants one? I grabbed extras for you fools!
The horror collections sets are housed in eco friendly cases. Pretty much guaranteed creases, holes and lot's of damage. The ones I got have allot of dumpster bin damage. You probably aren't looking hard enough pull the cover out you'll see. Normally no way in hell I would buy these but I had to have one. They were/are just too hard to come by at the time.
I don't see it. Maybe one of elDomenechHDG's suspected "Waddle" Mart folks sat on yours and TopShelf Rob's.
What the hell is all of this about customs Canada seizing stuff?!? No kidding, since the nineties I must have traded upwards of 1,000 vhs and dvds and never had a problem. Some of the stuff like Entrails of a Virgin and Emmanuelle and the Last Cannibals were pretty raunchy and violent as well.
As mentioned before in another thread, Canada is much more liberal than the States in many regards even the smallest cities offer specialty shops that offer extreme bondage videos, imported German pissing videos and the Perverted Stories porn series which feature a hitch-hiker getting gang raped and a blonde anthropologist getting raped in the ass by Bigfoot. Trust me, I know, that was one fucked up stag party but I digress....
Why customs would seize some PG-13 and R rated B movies is beyond me and seems to defy rationalization.
German Pissing videos?!?! What about the Shizer films?
HellBilly - Stand up for yourself! Sie sagen, daß sie das poopy film!
No for some reason shitting is verboten in most provinces, at least on film, and thank God for that.
'Piss ist gut, ja, aber bitte beachten Sie das Scheißen, um sich'
THis is bull! I've been to all the Walmarts in Columbus,OHio again and a big old nothing! I even checked in Marion and Delaware. This is getting out of hand. Walmart needs to stop cutting things into sections and leaving people who are fans of these horror flicks out in the cold.
