My BB had LHOTL in some little BB Exclusive case for $9.99. They also had Robocop 2, Robocop 3, Poltergeist 2, I Spit on Your Grave (remake - which was not on Sale - was like $29 or something stupid), Hannibal, Almost Famous and Rules of Attraction. Heavy Metal was listed on the in-store pc as being in store and available with 5 copies as was the original I Spit on Your Grave. I asked some dood where they were, he looked in the back and only found the ISOYG - however, he wouldn't let me have it since it's not supposed to be released for a week. He said they only had 3 copies, so he put it aside for me. Heavy Metal was nowhere to be found which means it was probably sitting on a cart somewhere to be shelved tomorrow.
pics or it didn't happen!!! I'm definitely going to swing by my BB to see about Last House. I haven't been forcibly told to urinate in my jeans for ages. That road to nowhere definitely leads me to Best Buy tomorrow! Thanks for the updates guys.
Whatchu wanna pic of? The LHOTL Blu or the dood putting aside ISOYG for me? You get hazed a lot growing up? Bullies make you pee yo' pant all the time and then mama made you wear rubbah pants cause she thought you had an issue?
Picked up Last House and Heavy Metal this morning. Like someone else reported they had the I spit on your grave remake in the same display. There was a sign on the top with 9.99-14.99 Best Buy Exclusives on it with a list of titles including Spit (not specifying remake or original). I took it to the register and it scanned at 29.99. Since there is a fairly big snowstorm happening right now and I just wanted to get back out on the road, I didn't feel like arguing so I passed. Would have been a blind buy that I probably would have regretted anyway.
Yeah, the Spit remake rang up at $29.99 here also, but since they had it on that rack which clearly said $9.99 - 14.99, even though it meant the old one, they honored the price. I basicly walked up and asked how much was it, the girl clerk told me she was sure it was $14.99 as she sold another one a little bit before. Guess this could go either way depending on who's managing. Old mangers here wouldn't have honored that price.
Heavy Metal shipped fine, but the Last House and Rules of Attraction blu's I did delivery for ended up being backordered, so I called the customer service line and they changed it to store pick-up for me. When I went to pick them up I did a coast around the department to see if there was any kind of display. No display, but all the movies were definitely there, except for the original I Spit on Your Grave, which comes out next week. Anywho, MGM did right with this Last House on the Left blu. It's fucking loaded with extras.
Today my Best Buy had no copies of any version of I Spit. I asked about the original, but street date is next week for both of them. I was chatting with the guy helping me, and he said not only were they not supposed to put those redos on the floor, but they were supposed to be $19.99, not $14.99. They only got floored becuase they came in the floor case with ther other sale exclusives and nobody caught it. Glad I went Sunday now as I did enjoy the redo, and I wouldn't have bought it for the real price next week. Today I grabbed Last House (time for upgrade, esp. with lots of new extras since my old dvd) and Hatchet II.
Can someone please say something about the LHOTL extras. a) Does the Blu contain all the extras of both MGM DVDs (regular + special edition)? If not, what is missing? b) Does it contain the deleted scene that was previously only available on the the UK 3DVD set? c)Are there any new extras? Thanks!
Looking at the dvd covers online, the BD has everything listed from both (there is a titleless featurette on the old dvd which I'm not sure of. It maybe one of the ones from the newer CE dvd, or could be a shorter version of the making of). I bet that "It's Only a Movie" featurette is the one from the old dvd on second look. I thought it had a new commnetary, but I see one dvd has the director/producer, the other actors, this has both. If the deleted scene is "Mari Dying at the Lake", it has that. It only says one deleted scene, and the CE dvd also says it has a deleted scene but doesn't title it. It also has the "Forbidden Footage" from the old dvd. Here's a back scan for you to check out yourself, I haven't opening mine yet so I can only go by the cover.
Also, to my surprise, The Rules of Attraction blu is the unrated version that hasn't been released in the States yet. Way to go Lionsgate!
Wow AVC @ 40 MBPS? Shit, this sounds like a pretty good transfer (taking into accoun its limitations, of course). ~Matt
I assume it's the same as the UK blu ray from Icon Ent. That one is the unrated cut too, plus the features that were on the old lionsgate DVD. ~Matt
my bestbuy had the remake of i spit on your grave blu-ray but held off i want to get the remake on dvd not blu but i do want the original i spit on your grave on blu which my bestbuy has also but they are in the back for next week
There's a longer shot of her slashing her wrist. There might be more (I'm not sure if there's footage of her slashing her other wrist) but yeah. ~Matt
There's more of the vomit hitting Lauren in the beginning, maybe a thrust or two more after the vomit. The graphic pornography on the magazine the one drug dealer is reading isn't blurred out, and then there's the aforementioned suicide scene. That's what I noticed.
