You should start a Larry King, Love or Hate him? thread.

    That's pretty funny.

Well at least the fans got something in return & something to talk about on the ride home. It's usually the fans giving the finger to the Mets & their organization.

she has about as much musical talent as an out of tune casio keyboard.

Absolutely god awful. To compare her to 80s music is an abomination!

Haha, but technically, "keyboards" (including all electronic pianos) can never go out of tune. It's the actual harp inside a real piano that eventually loosens and needs to re-tightened. Since electronic keyboards produce a digital sound, it's impossible for it to ever go out of tune. ;)

I'm neither on this one. I've seen her videos and listened to her music. I tell you, I could not picture her out of a crowd and she doesn't have much of a voice, her tunes are catchy for what they are. But that post-modern crap has got to go.

Anyway, I'm working in a Lady Gaga parody into my next film. It's classy.

 true, true :D But we can fix that by using Casio keyboard in a horror scenario involving an axe to detune!

I've been karaokeing Lady Gaga at the bar down the street from my house for laughs just because of this thread. I'm gonna have to have somebody film it and throw it up on youtube.

I'm glad you brought that up. I've always said right from the very beginning of Gaga's career that when you grow up with artists like Grace Jones, Cyndi Laupher, Kate Bush etc, Gaga seems completely unoriginal and boring in comparison. This just confirms it.

    Fuck Gaga.

Just complete indifference toward the Gaga. Not worth the energy.

    Grace Jones.

Just because Grace Jones said it , doesn't confirm anything. It just confirms that Somebody's Jealous of another artists success. What an arrogant comment by that woman.

And that's three women mentioned, span of over 30 years, and what? only two number one hit's between them? Maybe I missed a bunch.

    Yes, definitely somebody's jealous indeed.

That has always been the lamest defense I've ever heard in my life. "oh you're just jealous" "they're just jealous" etc etc. Can you not come up with something more original? Sounds like a typical defense seen on an IMDB forum for Beiber/Jonas fangirls.

Just because Grace Jones isn't currently in the spotlight doesn't mean she hasn't had a very prolific and influential career. And she lasted a lot longer than Gaga ever will.

    Jealous? No. Realistic? Yes.

Ha ha, that's pretty sad that Grace Jones has to make a point of tearing Gaga down. Wasn't she in a Bond film back in the 80's? And M.I.A.? I didn't have a clue who she was until I saw the "Born Free" video last month. So I don't need their opinions to tell me whether Gaga is OK or not. I did think M.I.A.'s quote that Gaga "models herself on Grace Jones and Madonna but the music sounds like 20 year-old Ibiza disco" did hit the mark though.

    Lamest defense?

You obviously don't understand people. If Lady Gaga was horrible and had zero talent. Grace would say NOTHING. But because she feels in HER OPINION that Gaga ripped her off & is MORE successful at doing it, THAT pisses off Grace Jones to no end.

And that's a fact. And that in a sense is also very funny.

And by the way that statement "And she lasted a lot longer than Gaga ever will."

Um, errr, um... Do you have a crystal ball or something?

Talk about acting like a Beiber/Jonas fangirl. You do realize Grace Jones has how do you say... not been around... for years. So I guess we will have to compare her spotlight to Gaga's spotlight. And by the way Gaga isn't even her prime yet. Imagine that at 24 years, and all that talent. And she is just getting started.

So, so far ... Who do you think is in the lead, huh?

Grace Jones? Get a hold of yourself.

*** And I still like to know why the three examples of women singers (that are not boring) you gave, have only 2 number one hits between them in a 30+ year span.

Next time go with Madonna or someone of that caliber.

Figures you would base your opinion on Grace Jones, Kate Bush etc soley on how popular they are now. I guess you pretty much let the masses decide for you, eh? That's fucking stupid. Millions of people love the shit out of Michael Bay, but that doesn't mean he isn't a useless cunt.

I'm sorry, fangirl. I won't rip into your precious pop princess anymore. I can see how much sand it puts in your vagina.
