Sure would love to see Kino Lorber release Hunter's Blood from 1987. I believe that was an Embassy Home Entertainment release, at least on VHS.

I received an email from Amazon earlier that my pre-order of Witchcraft (1964) was cancelled due to lack of availability.

I'm not sure what's up with that, but it's obviously been either delayed or cancelled since the listing has also been removed from most retailer websites.

I was hoping Kino's obsession with 80-year-old movies would subside a bit and they'd acquire a few more contemporary titles. I would ask the Kino rep on the two other boards he posts on about it but the guy has such a short fuse I'm afraid he'll get all bent out of shape again. There are still a few newer films left that need new scans and/or a first-time release, such as The Earthling (1980), Florida Straits (1986), Blue Steel (1990) and others, not to mention some better Z-grade stuff like 1985's Alien Predator.

Hey, I like THE EARTHLING, I may suggest it if they give me another go around with MGM

BLUE STEEL is now with LionsGate

Please do, Walt. The Earthling is a fine film. The fact that it never even hit DVD should boost sales even higher. Interesting about Blue Steel being with LG - is it through StudioCanal? Maybe it'll make their Vestron line despite the fact it's not a horror film.

The Man Who Could Cheat Death has been released at least twice already on blu-ray. Not sure why some titles keep getting so many releases when other titles get completely ignored.

It's part of a fairly large package deal with Paramount for titles that weren't already licensed to Warner Brothers or Olive. I think it's just a film that has an HD-master, happened to be available for North America and has no clearance issues preventing it's release. There are apparently about thirty additional Paramount / Republic Pictures titles or so that haven't been announced, yet.

Wolf Lake sounds similar to RITUALS. Can't wait to watch my copy.
