Is anyone buying this? I loved these films years ago when I saw them on LD, but while I think he's brilliant. I was on another forum and someone wrote, I'll probably buy this and never watch them. It got me thinking, will this boxset get much play at my house either? I mostly seem to watch new stuff or fun stuff. This kind of cult film is a hard sell to the uninitiated and hardcore fans of cinema might find themselves reaching for something like the descent instead, as well. I don't know, opinions? Oh a and btw when is day of the beast going to get a decent US release?
I'm definitely buying the box. I haven't seen the films in quite some years. As to your question aboyt Day of the Beast, I haven't a clue. I own the import DVD which is good enough, but I'd love for it to receive a R1 anamorphic release.
I'll be getting the box set and watching it. The thing that sucks is that I already have "Fando and Lis." I was contemplating only getting "El Topo" and "The Holy Mountain" but their prices seperately are almost the same as the box set. Besides, only the box set contains his short film... I think.
Still no Santa Sangre in Region 1. It would have been very welcome in this box set. It's been available in Region 2 from Anchor Bay UK for a few years.
