How do I know if my cable provider is getting it? Is there any list of the ones that are getting it?

I just found out that I am signature number 12 for the state I live in and the cable service I subscribe to. I think I may need to change my method of getting cable. It may be time for Direct tv. I know I should prepare myself for a major letdown, but is anyone else as excited about this new network as I am? As long as they show good movies uncut and do not show the same ones over and over again, I'll be quite happy. My hope is that the movies they do air will be from a broad spectrum of the world of horror.

I signed the petition for Dish Network, and at the time, which was 1 or 2 days ago, I was signature # 88. PLEASE, EVERYONE WHO HAS DISH NETWORK, SIGN THE PETITION SO DISH NETWORK WILL GET THE HORROR CHANNEL IN OCTOBER. Last year, when I saw a Ad for The Horror Channel, I thought, Alright, about damn time a Horror Channel comes out. The only channels on Satellite that even play any good horror movies is Showtime. I WANT THE HORROR CHANNEL.

But, on AMC, they have commercial interruptions, and I think they are cut.

Anyone have any word on this freakin' channel?!? It's supposed to start on Halloween, right? Their website doesn't seem to have much info yet as far as programming or how to view the channel and the launch is only a month away! It would be nice to know whether or not DirecTV will be carrying this, or even Comcast if I must. Tales from the Darkside had better be on this damn thing (why isn't that series on DVD, yet?). Anyone hear anything lately?
