I originally thought this was going to be strictly a dvd release. Awesome news and let's hope that more of these Corman titles will get Blu-ray releases.
Looking forward to this!
Already bought Rock n Roll High School and pre-ordered Piranha, Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World.
Can't wait for Up from the Depths and The Evil down the road too!
I already pre-ordered it yesterday on Amazon.
I just hope they start using lossless audio on their Blu-ray releases. The Rock 'n' Roll High School Blu-ray shows a "Dolby TrueHD" icon on the back cover, but all that's on the disc is a standard Dolby 2.0 track at a scant 192kbps.
Will this have the extra footage that was on the Japanese disc ?
That`s what i was wondering too.
I really hope so.
An uncut Blu ray would be very nice
Great news!! This was one feature I missed on DVD the first go round so I will snag it on Blu.
Great!! A lot of the Corman stuff is coming out on Blu!! Look real forward to Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World (which I bought a Region 2 DVD of because I couldn't find a copy anywhere!).
IIRC, it's only about 3 seconds of a bloke's head being ripped off... so you're not missing much!
Great news- I was hoping they would change their minds from just releasing this on DVD. That'll also be great if it has the extra 3 seconds of head ripping.
Yup, looks like it's the 'X'-rated international cut of HFTD we'll be getting on Blu-ray.
I just got a laserdisc rip of that and was told it was lots more cut than that, but I haven't got to watch it yet.
Love it, I was probably gonna get this for the supplements if nothing else, but this makes it a must own.
will probably just get this and piranha on new special edition dvd glad to see there is deleted scenes and that the humanoids is in fact the unrated print
Just watched this for the first time, the 'international uncut' version, this is a great film that I cannot believe I waited this long to see.
One question:I have seen some sites list the running time as 82 mins, however mine was 77 mins, is this indeed the uncut version or am I missing something?
The blu-ray just dropped to $18.99 on amazon. That is about what I was hoping to pay for it, so I went ahead and pre-ordered it.
And if it goes even lower before the release date, they automatically adjust the price!
have never seen this, but it's pre-ordered.
Ditto! I had this down on my need to buy DVD list. Thankfully, I can switch it to my need to by Blu-Ray list.
