It's from the set. My old blu-ray didn't have this problem.

Did anyone actually receive their money back from TMC? I still have the amount pending in my bank account even though I got a cancellation email from them.

It should just be an "authorization" charge that holds the funds when the order was placed, and will clear in a day or so. Unless the charge is finalized, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

BTW, the 30% code is working on "sale" items (including the Criterions) at the TCM store now...

Does the theater blus have the commentaries? I see nothing listed on back and a confusing user review on blu-ray, which looks like he is trying to say no features but says "have features" when has is proper.

Just checked the library website, no dice whatsoever. In fact, they don't even have the theater cut dvd they used to.:eek1: I'm sure a pawn shop does now, bunch of savages stealing shit around here and pawn shops keep buying em, despite me telling them not to. It's not hard to spot, they photocopy every cover to add their inventory numbers to, and squish dvd artwork down to blu-ray size with a huge white border and huge black sort letters. I can't even consider buying a used one if they had one I wanted/needed, with the butchered covers and stickers on the discs. But the pawn shops are full of em. Thankfully the used record stores that do video have listened to me and stopped buying them!:banana:

Got the cancellation from TCM with a code. I browsed on their website and most prices are quite high, but the UNINVITED criterion blu-ray was only $15, so after applying the discount and adding in shipping/taxes, it was only $16. Not too bad for that blu-ray!

Looks like there is a sync issue with the Halloween 4 disc starting at the 45 minute mark. I checked it against my old Anchor Bay Blu and if it's there it is slight. I can't tell for sure if it's a problem or if all the posts about it over on Bluray.com are making me see things.

My order from TCM was cancelled - I used Paypal to pay and was never charged. Didn't get the cancelled email nor the coupon.
I'll be on the lookout for someone wanting to unload H20 from the set.

I hope the dust has settled enough that I can ask this question. Now that I have the 15 disc set I'd like to sell off what I no longer need. Can someone please verify that I'm good to get rid of the following Blu-rays without losing any special features or superior cut/transfer? TIA

    Halloween (1978) - 2007 Anchor Bay release
Halloween (35th Anniversary Edition) (Digibook) (1978) - 2013 Anchor Bay release
Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988) - 2012 Achor Bay release
Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989) - 2012 Achor Bay release
Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) - 2011 Echo Bridge release
    Halloween (2-Disc Unrated Collector's Edition) (2007) - 2008 Dimension release
    Halloween 2 (Unrated Director's Cut) (2009) - 2010 Sony release

I've gathered from this thread that I should keep the following:

    [Blu-ray]
Halloween 2 (30th Anniversary Edition) (1981) - 2011 Universal Studios release -Terror In the Aisles
Halloween: Resurrection (2002) - 2012 Echo Bridge release -Superior transfer
Halloween (2007) / Halloween 2 (2009) Double Feature - 2011 Canadian Alliance release -Theatrical cuts

    [DVD]
Halloween: 25 Years of Terror (2006) - 2006 Anchor Bay release
Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (Special Edition) (Divimax Series) (1988) - 2006 Anchor Bay release - Panel, intro and commentary track
    Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later (Collector's Series) (1998) - 1999 Dimension release

Coupon is SORRY30, and apparently now does work on sale items so it could be of use to some. Go and use it to get them back for us who were fucked out of a cheap box!

I used it on The Uninvited bluray which was about 6 bucks cheaper then Amazon even with the shipping - its on backorder so it may take a while but that is fine

Make this out of it, you are a lucky bastard who will probably get a set free now! Worst case, you got one for $26.68, either way, you win! Congrats, gotta go wash the green off myself now.:p

Curious did you ever get a cancellation email or any tracking? Maybe the screw up is bigger than we think and a lot of people are still going to get these?? Just hopeful.

I did get the email with the sorry30 code that said they made a mistake and had to cancel the order - but the order was left in a status : active/cancelled. Wonder if they will ask me to return it or I have to pay full price- in the meantime I am keeping both my deep discount and TCM box sets unopened until I find out which needs to be sent back
