Usually crap gets ridiculed here too. Wouldn't call ED crap though.
OK your officially an Evil Dead fanboy.
I'm actually not the biggest fan of ED 2 & 3 but I do enjoy them.
We eat any crap. Not just American.
This old news is making the rounds again. :joshua:
Raimi and Campbell have been playing this game for too long. I'm done getting excited about this. I'll believe it when I see an actual trailer.
They've hinted at it in the past but this is an official statement isn't it? If Raimi says it is actually happening then I believe that to be true. This is the first time he has said "yes" as opposed to beating around the bush.
It's exciting that both the old and new films are getting sequels.
Amen brother, fool me once shame on me. I'll get excited when I actually see an actual film.
Why am I not excited? For starters, anyone expecting a new ED film to be just as good as the original is dreaming. Raimi has become so Hollywoodized that anything he makes today won't be recognizable as a Raimi film unless it's 90% CGI, has a minimum budget of $100 million and features a cast of impossibly gorgeous young nobodies. Another thing is I've been hearing these rumors for years so by now I could care less if they go through with it or not.
I would welcome another Sam Raimi Evil Dead flick but I doubt it's in the works.
Add me to the skeptical group. I'll believe this film is actually coming when the cameras start to roll.
Does anybody really believe that if this film were actually to happen, it would be at all worthwhile? Maybe I'm just cynical, but the only thing that would surprise me more than this actually getting made would be if it were even a fraction as good as the first 3.
Fede Alvarez is not directing ED Remake Sequel [EDIT: new reports state otherwise. ]
This new disappointing me greatly
Well scratch that last bit of new because this just got posted on Bloody Disgusting:
Thank god for that. I really enjoyed the remake so I'm glad the same team is still on for the sequel. Hopefully they bring some monsters/demons with them this time around.
Here's a big fuckin' surprise:
Like someone commented over on that page, Bruce says it's "internet bullshit" yet the rumor started from one of his own quotes.
Also, hasn't the dude who directed the remake mentioned that an AOD sequel is in fact being worked on while he is working on a sequel to the remake? I find it odd that he'd just make that up.
There's also this: http://bloody-disgusting.com/news/3263186/bruce-campbell-has-made-some-inconsistent-comments-about-army-of-darkness-2-but-its-still-being-worked-on/
Sam Rami making another Evil Dead flick would be career ending IMO. He also hasn't made any decent movies sense Army Of Darkness. BTW I know someone here will get upset at my comments. However I will stand my ground and go so far as to say he sucks now. :fuck:
Drag Me To Hell was surprisingly good and actually scared me at times. Things like his Spider Man's and OZ, I'd agree are shitty. I really hated the way Peter Parker was portrayed in his films. The remake was much better and truer to the character.
