Sounds like a load of bollocks to me, I just don't see it working, if you add comedy, you needed to downplay the torture to balance it out, then what's the point. Just do a comedy rip off, like the 300 piss take (no idea what it was called, but remember it was shit).

I wasn't saying I know for a fact they are adding comedy. I was saying if Chris Rock is using 48 hrs as an example, then we can only assume he might mean what I was talking about.

    To your other point. :D

True you didn't, it was more a presumption from me, based on pretty much his whole body of work.

With regards to the video, I've never seen that before, is it from one of the scary movie sequels, In moderation it's ok, but I couldn't see it keeping my attention for a whole movie.

Hmmm, I'll be damned. It actually looks alright.

I didn't know Sam Jackson would be in this either. Awesome surprise. And to be honest I didn't realize Chris would be starring. I thought he was just producing this.

I'm behind on the whole Saw series so this is just another one to add to the list. I can't remember when I stopped watching. I guess the first one was clever. But somewhere around the second or third I was starting to zone out on the movies.

I'll admit, it doesn't look half bad.

Maybe I shouldn't but I burst out laughing when Sam Jackson shouted "Wanna play games, motherfucker?"!

A Saw-reboot with Chris Rock is still a concept I don't understand they went with, it just feels so strange.

It didn't blow me away, but it looked OK, I'll give it a watch. On a side note, I've obviously not seen Chris rock for a bit, but he's looking old!

Honestly, that was the selling point for me.

This is why it interest me more than any of the last 4 or 5 sequels/prequels/reboots. It appears to be a bit more "outside the box" or unorthodox/different (at least in the casting) and not in a "Jason or Pinhead in outer space" way :p

The premise of the movie looks intriguing, but I struggled with Chris Rock's acting in the trailer.

I struggle with his acting in anything that isn't a comedy. I just can't ever buy his performances in dramatic situations.

Considering I don't really like the Saw franchise, this looks pretty good/intriguing.

To me it seems more like a poorly constructed trailer. Parts of it, like the montage in the last 20 seconds or so, work well. But the music and the cutting of the dialogue just have a stilted feel. I like Rock and Jackson, and Bousman, so I'm up for this. I enjoyed the Spierig Brothers film, so I'm definitely up for more Saw.
