Has anyone seen Lamberto Bava's 1993 film "Body Puzzle" ("Misteria," 1991, in Italy)? It's very inexpensive at deepdiscountdvd. Decent film?

I believe the Image dvd available here in the states is full frame. Short reviews I've seen around the web have been fairly positive, but is there a better release than the Image disc?

    Thanks in advance.

I was under the (apparently wrong) impression that the Image disc had a cropped transfer. Could somebody please refute this so that I could buy the disc and not feel guilty?

Watched it today (a Dutch DVD) and I enjoyed it very much.Much better than I thought it would be.
The acting overall was good, the killer was creepy enough.Cameos by Erika Blanc and Giovanni Lombardo Radice (John Morghen).
The music was kinda dull. The classical music worked though.
    Recommended to Giallo completists.

    i have two r1 DvDs.

first the Image. Full frame, but the film looks good, not much cropped from the probably 1.66 original aspect ratio.

also the Madacy version which is letterboxed at 1.66-1.85, not 100% sure because the dvd package doent even state widescreen!

Honestly i prefer the Madacy version.

The version I have is 1.66:1 and it seems to be a direct port of the Madacy disc.I looks fine.

The murders in this film are gory and really make this a fun ride. I hesistated at first when i saw the madacy label but the quality was really good.

It's an ode to Mario Bava and Lucio Fulci.
The undertaker's name is Mario Fulci.

The handslashing in the bathroom stall was fantastic. The woman was hot too.
