Hell High is a good flick. I recently revisited the Shriek Show DVD and was thinking how this definitely needed an upgrade by someone like VS. Arrow will do though! I'm going with the Hell High slipcover.
I've just looked at the raging fury edition. I remember it now, that's how it was released on VHS here in the UK. Never watched it though, no idea why not
I personally like it far better than the standard artwork, and already pre-ordered the Ragin Fury edition. The 'Hell High" artwork will be on the inside case/cover, so it's no real loss. I guess the Raging Fury cover just strikes me as more "Slasher" in appearance, while the the new standard artwork appears too blingy/direct or something.
Love Hell High. It has that great homegrown charm about it. That said, I could see some here being bored by it because it doesn't really go full horror until the last 20 minutes or so. Glad they're carrying over the Joe Bob intro from the Shriek Show DVD. As for the slipcovers, I'll be sticking with the regular edition, simply because of the Hell High title that I've always known it as. The spine with the title is what I'll be mostly seeing anyway. I don't really care for the UK Raging Fury title. I think they did a good job with the new commissioned artwork, it is faithful to the movie. Funny thing about that UK artwork is that in some foreign country they used that same artwork to sell Alice Sweet Alice, which makes absolutely zero sense because everything going on in that poster are things specifically from Hell High. Bizarre. Anyway, very much excited for this upgrade. Already sold my DVD because I knew it was coming.

Seems like all our favorite 3rd party resellers will be carrying the new Tenebrae 4K/Blu Ray release (6,000 LE Benscoter Slip edition) like Amazon, Deep Discount, Grindhouse Video, BullMoose, etc. If you hit this at the right time of a DDD sale you'll be able to get it for about $40 shipped. You could get it now from BM for $43 shipped.
Bull Moose always ships either 1st Class Mail or Priority Mail. Lately they've been shipping things mostly Priority Mail to me, even when it's just been a cheap pre-order item... I don't see how they make a profit doing that, but things sure do arrive fast.
To wait for the corrected release of Henry or just buy now and send for a new disc? How long would it take for the releases at amazon uk to be the right discs?
Probably a while, or at least until the 1st pressing sells out in the retail sector. I doubt Arrow are going to initiate a recall or anything, since it's not exactly a serious flaw. It can sometimes take a while. Arrow are very good about getting replacement discs out to customers though, so I wouldn't worry about going ahead and buying it and just submitting the form for a replacement disc.
DDD is down to $40.15 preorder. Looks like they're giving us the 15% off deal before it even happens.
With sales tax added though, it would still be a better deal for me from BM... and I trust them a little more to get it to me in one piece and usually earlier.
