Coming to Netflix ... May 21st 2021 Directed by Zack Snyder. Cast: Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, Tig Notaro, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder, Hiroyuki Sanada, Garret Dillahunt. Plot: Following a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas, a group of mercenaries take the ultimate gamble, venturing into the quarantine zone to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted. Teaser Trailer: I have Netflix. I liked Zack's version of Dawn of the Dead. I like ensemble flicks. Looks fun. I'm in.
I'm definitely up for this. My only disappointment is that's it's got an R rating with the MPA. I presume then it's getting a theatrical release hence the rating? But I was hoping as it was on streaming and doesn't have the usual constraints, that it would be a bit more balls to the wall so to speak.
Zack Snyder, not Jack Trailer looks good for this. Always curious with Zack's work and like his style. Considering his Dawn remake was so good, this could be the best zombie movie we've had in a while.
Whoops, let me fix that. Thanks. I said it correct in the last portion of my initial post and then my second post.
New trailer looks good. Looking forward to this coming out. I didn't expect the smart zombie angle. Even the tiger was a neat surprise.
Awesome trailer! I'm really looking forward to this! This isn't the '80s. An R-rating nowadays is pretty much anything goes concerning violence. Remember when a guy's dick was snipped off with garden shears, and fed to the dogs, in Hostel 2? So, yeah. The zombie outbreak looks to be contained to a walled-off Las Vegas.
I thought they were still fussy? I'm sure it will be fine I just would have been more excited if it was an NC-17. I've never seen the R rated version of hostel 2 so I don't know how that scene plays in the R version.
The MPAA, don't seem to care much about cutting violence and gore anymore. Just take a look at Rambo Last Blood. That's like a splatter movie, with Rambo butchering the bad guys in gruesome ways
Yeah, R ratings haven't been a bad thing in a very long time. I don't think they even release films in NC-17 in America anymore. Plus with streaming services there's even more leeway.
I think you get an R rating with just one F word. At least I remember someone saying that. Trailer looks good. I wasn't expecting to see this one.
I think it’s two. As you can have one ”Fuck” in a PG-13 movie, which they usually save for a one liner. Kinda silly really. At 13, it’s something you hear all the time in the real world. I mean you can show violence, and even some blood, but more than one F bomb are a big no-no
That's pretty modest for Snyder lol. I don't care as long as it's good. Will hopefully give us some good time to get to know the characters too. Speaking of Schindler's List (3 hours btw); I saw it for the first time a few weeks back. Man what a fantastic and emotional film. It really shook and moved me. Definitely needed to get the tissues out.
Schindler's List is one of the greatest movies I hardly watch. It's practically perfect, and I own the latest Blu-ray, but it's so emotionally crippling it's hard to keep going back to.
