I'll believe it when its in my hands! Where's my Rituals? Where's my God's Bloody Acre? Call me a doubting Thomas, but it isn't real until I own it.

GODS BLOODY ACRE never "officialy" came out. Code Red re-called the copies at the last minute stating a "faulty" disc. The only copies that survived were the ones who reached the retailers. I got mine... :D

There was no faulty disc, the reason was probably the menu mocking MGM or the bootleg that was included as an extra.

Code Red stated they would release the title in the summer as a double feature.

Best news of the week about Nightmare. Count me down for 2 copies of that one. Also, Rituals is still on for April 19th, so no need to worry about that one either!

I find it odd how much conversation is going on about Nightmare and Rituals being listed on their site. CR is so unreliable it's foolish to believe they are releasing a title until you've placed it in your player and watched it to completion. Why anyone pays attention to their site is beyond me.

Actually Code Red has been putting out quite a few releases lately and have a good number coming out in the next few months as well.

Right on. I won't believe Nightmare even exists until it's sitting in my grubby hands.

No, that company has been selling those for a while now. From what I've read, they're grey-market... they sell a lot of titles that are out through other companies.

Edit: Sorry, I see their release date for Rituals is April 5th. They did have another release of Rituals out a few years ago with a different cover.

Code Red received quite a bashing from the genre DVD community for taking their own sweet time assembling a special edition of Nightmare (1981). Romano Scavolini’s film is a virtual camera lens inside the mind of a sweaty, mouth-foaming psychotic, and required special handling to bring this 2-Disc DVD to fruition. July 5th will see the sleazy slasher finally released onto the streets. Take a squiz at the details Code Red exclusively shared with Retro Slashers.

Code Red also tell us it’s possible more material could make it onto any remaining bit-space available on the disc/s. Further details will be posted as they become available to us.

It'd be nice if it was true, but this could very well be an April Fool's hoax.

Thanks for reposting my article under your own name, but it'd be nice to include a link to the source next time as a basic courtesy/credit. http://retroslashers.net/exclusive-code-reds-nightmare-2-disc-set-finally

Luckily I'd seen this on your site the other day otherwise I would have been so confused after reading that post.

It's great to hear this is finally coming out. I'll have to pre-order it when it shows up online.

Umm, no. They posted it in March and know that fans would be unhappy if they made this an April Fools joke. It's not.

I'm guessing had they said they found a better print, people would have said "you're lying" or "I don't care if it's crappy, just release this!"

I'm happy they found a new print. There may be hope for widescreen yet! :D
