Hey does anybody know if code red is going release Family Honor? The trailer for it plays on the Redeemer DVD. That movie looks like a long lost 70's hidden gem! :fire:

It seems like the Code Red/ Media Blasters "Girls In Chains" DVD is OOP. I bought a cheap used copy from an Amazon seller, but some of the sellers are already selling them for $50 and $60.

Saw "Girls" at my local fry's electronics the other day for under $20. If its going OOP,they've yet to figure it out.Exploitation value aside, its a pretty terrible flick. The trailer, however, may be one of the best examples of genuine Grindhouse.

And The Visitor DVD has a Progressive-encoded transfer. Hopefully all future Code Red titles will be once again...

For some reason I love GROUP MARRIAGE and can't get into WORKING GIRLS. But I will almost certainly buy both.

I think the banjo music almost kills WG. But Cassandra Peterson is wicked hot in it.

I was torn between picking up The Carrier and The Undertaker. I've never seen either movie, but I only had the funds for one.

I eventually went with The Carrier based on the few reviews I had read. I will probably pick up The Undertaker eventually.

Has anyone here viewed either disc/movie? What did you think?

For me Code Red is like the Continental Video of DVD, like they should come in a clamshell or big box instead of a dvd case. Love the output, and am not fussy at all about quality of presentation, especially with the way the economy is. I still buy some of their titles used as I am unemployed right now, but try to make every third title or so a new copy so I feel like Iam giving as much as I can.

I picked up both The Carrier and The Undertaker. However, I’ve only watched The Undertaker thus far.

The Undertaker is pretty bad. The film suffers from some terrible editing that makes the movie downright confusing at times (it almost feels like you’re watching two different movies). Joe Spinell’s performance is utterly surreal to watch…and not in a good way. I’m not sure if it was because he was about to kick the bucket or what, but his speech is slurred and most of the time it sounds like he’s reading his lines…he probably is as in one scene he looks down at a desk with some papers on it several times while trying to deliver dialogue.

Spinell still knows how to portray crazy though…the scenes in which he is killing are pretty good…you can almost see glimmers of Frank Zito in his eyes.

I’ve read several positive reviews of The Carrier, so I suppose you picked the right one. I’d still check out The Undertaker if I was you though.

Thanks for the input! All the reviews I have seen for The Undertaker have been pretty negative, but I'm sure I will pick it up somewhere down the road. When it comes to 80s horror, I'm pretty easy to please.

Let us know what you think of The Carrier when you watch it! I'm still waiting on my DVD to arrive.
