Yep, That's what I was referring to. Death Ship and Grizzly have been confirmed as region free by Scorpion via Blu-Ray.com ;)

;) Looking forward to both of these and Day Of the Animals. The possibility of Humongous on BD blows my mind, Hope it happens despite the state of the materials.

The Facebook page might be a fake. Walter Olsen posted the following on blu-ray.com. Though it is indicated on the Scorpion Releasing website.

I'd buy The Monster Club on Blu-ray in an instant! I guess better source materials have finally been located for the film?

I thought Tower of Evil was pretty average though. I don't know if I'd be willing to upgrade from the old DVD.

I dug Tower of Evil - I'd grab that Blu. The "set" is somewhat overly fake is it's only downfall.

Omg, I loved the sets for Tower of Evil. True, it felt like it, but in a Scooby Doo cartoon show way. As opposed to those awful early-late 90s Full Moon quickies with the most bland white-washed sets ever conceived!

Tower of Evil <3 You brought back those excellent slasher feelies when I thought that I had seen all of the classics.

I enjoyed Tower of Evil very much on my first viewing as well - in some ways, it's like a harbinger of the impending slasher craze, yet aesthetically, it must have seemed dated even when it came out. I'll definitely be upgrading to blu. I'll probably upgrade Grizzly as well (what can I say, William Girdler... I like the guy). Death Ship I did not really care for - I doubt I'll be revisiting it, much less upgrading.

I've done that in the past with a few OOP titles I own (though never for that high).

My mentality is that I want the movie and would like to keep it, but if somebody else wants it that much more, then they're more than welcome to it.

Yeah that guy ask way too much (and you aren't even sure if it's the Shriek Show release or a bootleg because of the image)... I can sell you mine who is the original SS single DVD release for 4000$ (even in canadian money if you wish) :p

I want to keep it but if someone want to give me that much money I would certainly not say "no way".

Well at least laughter is priceless and free at the same time, really what are these people thinking?
I can just see an eccentric film geek poring over these listings and saying 'If I only had 6k for that Grizzly dvd'...LOL.

FYI - Death Ship Blu is $16.47 through Deep Discount right now. I ordered that with the Halloween III Blu which was $19.80 to get the free shipping, but also added one of those 10% off codes they were handing out a while back which knocked off just about another $4. I haven't noticed any better prices for these yet.

I watched American Nightmare this past weekend. I have the VHS and always planned on watching it one day, but never got around to it. My mistake. This is one sleazy flick. I had no idea what I was in for…strippers, incest, lots of nudity, porno theaters, sex tapes, drug use, graphic sex scenes, transvestites, and some pretty good kills…this one was seedy as hell and it was all pretty fun to watch…it would probably make a great double feature with Maniac and/or Driller Killer. Man, who knew the Wizard of Gore could direct such a vile piece of trash himself? Awesome.

The transfer is more than watchable…I think the quality itself adds to the sheer dirtiness of the film. Yeah, you’re going to want to take a shower after this one.
