976-Evil...uncut anywhere?

  1. When this came in the mail earlier this month I squealed like a little girl. The transfer looked great and I still enjoy the flick. Need to listen to the commentary still.

That is a great deal! I bought it last month, but for those who don't have it - best price yet!

Damn, I would have been all over this 10 years ago. Last time I watched it I don't remember getting very far before switching it off. Was a nonsensical mess. Cool to see it's getting a new release though.

It's nice to see this movie getting a UK release. Based on other Eureka releases of Sony products this will be the same print with a few additional extras.

I'll stick with my German release. Also I prefer the original artwork used on the previous blu's to this.

I received the Eureka release today...

As expected, it looks to be the same exact transfer as the old Sony Blu-ray used, but perhaps with a better encode. The movie runs at 92 minutes and takes up 30GB on the disc just by itself. The 3 new Interviews (all are 1080p) total around 48 minutes total. The new "stills gallery" has a lot of vintage behind-the-scenes effects pictures.

The "extended" home video cut (SD) has been upscaled to 720p with lossless audio and even surprisingly has optional subtitles for it. I'd have to pull out my old disc to be certain...but I think it looks slightly better than the old release.
